We have previously enjoyed BB. This experience was just OK. Food was good but nothing memorable. Server was fantastic but despite being an only a handful of tables, the food took a really long time to arrive (near 40 minutes for a salad, grilled fish, and a chicken sandwich). We'll try again another time in hopes that this was just an off day.

The brunch and dinner options here are great. Never had a bad meal here.

Do you offer an all you can eat buffet here?

If you do what kind of food do you have to offer on your buffet?

We are 60 somethings but not picky. We stopped by today for the first time. Here are our observations.
No street parkinganywhere near, but there is a parking garage behind the restaurant. For my handicapped wife it was a long walk as the elevator/stairs are mid garage and the backdoor to the restaurant is on the end. Then you need to walk thru to the front to the hostess. It's okay if walking is not an issue. At least it was Sunday so the hour we were there was free!
Nice interior with barn wood walls and beams and lots of artwork/posters and T.V.'s.
Service was excellent (thanks Jackson. M).
I had the smothered burrito with home fries $18 and my wife had the Hippie bowl $16. Both were good however they were both luke warm at best. We didn't complain but I would next time if it were the same. Coffee was $3.75 each so we ended with $44 after tax and before tip.
Not an inexpensive breakfast by any means but we didn't go away hungry.
We would go back and give it another try.
Oh, and the table outside the server entrance (front room) had uneven legs and it wobbles.

From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was special. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of modern elegance and cozy charm. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing.

The food was absolutely outstanding! Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The chef’s special was a highlight of the evening, and the dessert was simply divine—light, rich, and perfectly balanced. The drink menu also offers some fantastic options to pair with your meal.

Overall, 5/5 and Julia, Jackson, and justice is the nicest, most attentive server.

It was New Year's Eve and they were out of the first 3 liquors we asked for and a couple appetizers. It was 6pm.

NYE. Two of us. Despite 5:30 reservation, which wasn't necessary b/c the place was empty, we were seated in the back corner. I expressed concern to the hostess about being near the kitchen. Instead of offering us a different table she assured us we wouldn't mind the location. Turns out the restrooms and back entrance were there as well as a door that appeared to go to a service area. When the server arrived (promptly) we asked to be seated at a different table, which she happily accommodated. Ambiance reminded me of a diner. Their happy hour offered 1/2 off drinks. I asked if that included Old Fashioneds. Server checked and said yes. She asked what kind of whiskey I preferred. I said anything Rye. She offered Knob Creek, which I accepted. Looking at the receipt after we got home (partner took care of the bill, so I didn't look at it in the restaurant), there was an unexpected $2.50 upcharge for the Knob Creek. We both had the prime rib special, ordered medium. Both were pretty close to rare. I mentioned to the server that the cook may want to pay better attention to the degree of doneness. She didn't offer a replacement, which we would've declined anyway. Horseradish cream was very good. What I assumed to be au jus, was a glob of something very salty. Brussels sprouts, while tasty, were on the mushy side. Mashed potatoes were adequate. Service was great. Overall, not a pleasant experience. Won't be returning.

My party of 8 and I were truly disappointed in the quality of the food and drinks we recently received at Beggars Banquet. The salmon was over cooked, the drinks were watered down. They were out of beef and potatoes. To top it off, one individual in our party got food poisoning from the sandwich they ate. Definitely not the restaurant it once was.

Great spot for breakfast, love the potatoes cakes and the corned beef hash. It’s never too busy and the staff are always very attentive. Great drink selection!

Got the Irish Bowl for brunch here and it was literally one of the best breakfast dishes I have ever had.

Recent downturn in consistency of service and quality of food.

Been eating here off and on every semester or so for the last three years, and can say there’s been a relatively recent downturn in service and the overall experience. They have quality recipes and good ingredients, but recently the quality of the preparation of the meal given the more conservative portion sizes has dipped.

Reservations overwritten, appetizers brought out after entrees, and somewhat slow water refills were the lowlights of my most recent visit. The server—who I can only hope was new and/or nervous—came by with the bill three times before I was even halfway through my meal, and my date and I had only been there for around 30 minutes.

To servers of all disciplines and food genres; customers do NOT LIKE BEING RUSHED. If we’d been there for like two hours I’d totally understand. But it wasn’t two hours, in fact our entire experience was about 50 minutes.

It wasn’t even like the place was packed. There were open seats a plenty; which was the only reason we were able to get a seat due to my reservation apparently being lost or overwritten (I had digital confirmation, so I assume it was a simple bookkeeping issue).

In regards to redeeming qualities, this place still has a great breakfast and brunch lineup, and agreeable atmosphere. Hoping my recent experience was more of a lemon than what the standard experience is today.

It has been years since I have been to Beggar's. The waitress was new and not informed but pleasant. The food was not good. Ordered the London Broil - medium, came well done. Brussel sprouts were mushy, potatoes had weird dairy substance. The dessert was $9 for a small bell jar of creme brulee about 1/3 of a cup. The chocolate mousse was more generous but tasted like cooktop chocolate pudding. It was a Sunday night so maybe understaffed; it was pretty empty there. We don't go out to dinner very often and try to support non chain restaurants. Guessing they make most of their money from drinks on other nights. Probably won't be back-disappointing.
