“This is my first time here! I'll be back again in two days, because this place is great! The quality of the food is very good. The staff are very friendly and smiling.”
“Small dining area, so things are a bit crowded. Very tasty food. They offer both mild and spicy foods. If you're not sure, opt for the milder options, I chose the Friday special, which is one their spicier choices, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Parking is somewhat limited.”
“The service was excellent andthe food was perfectly spiced and balanced. Definitely recommend to any Indian cuisine lovers out there. The garlic naan was perfection.”
“I love this place, I have had takeout several times before and decided to dine in, interior is lovely, the exterior is very unassuming but it disguises a very nice place, definitely want to come in from the alley to park. Road noise from Grand River is pretty high but I didn't find it spoiled my experience.Parking: You want to go around and enter from the alley behind, the driveway from Grand River is pretty narrow and also the only way to walk from the parking lot to the front.”
“We love coming to Big Mom's for Korean dogs! They do offer other selections, but haven't tried them all yet. I did try the k-fried chicken today and it was great too!My favorite is the half and half no sugar, but don't shy away from any of them!”

“The food offered in the buffet was very good. There are lots of varieties. The chicken was cooked well and there were many vegetarian options as well. I enjoyed my time.”
“Reserved a table for my wife, son and I at a scheduled Sunny Wilkinson Jazz event. Sunny, Ron Newman & Ed Fedewa were superb!!! Absolutely wonderful event/venue! Fabulous artisanal Cocktails; I mean, Amazing! Ginger Gimlet was delicious, as were all of the ‘spirit’ concoctions prepared by Bartender, really, Mixologist! Cannot wait til next Jazz event! Alan J. Kreutzberg, East LansingParking: Plenary of free parking!”
“Recent dinner was very slow, but good. Garlic edamame, house salad, and miso soup very good. Sashimi sampler and stop drop roll were solid. Bibimbap and bulgogi were flavorful. Unfortunately the Food was great, but overshadowed by glacially slow service throughout the meal - not just the fresh sushi prep that is expected.”

“The hospitality here is unmatched, working in restaurants we frequently talk about treating customers like guests. This is one of the first times that I felt that I have genuinely been treated like family.”
“This is my first time here! I'll be back again in two days, because this place is great! The quality of the food is very good. The staff are very friendly and smiling.”
“The food was excellent.Sort of a Tex-Mex style. The spice in their enchilada sauce, and queso sauce (used on their burritos) is perfect. The Tipopo dish (a cross between nacho and taco salad) is the bomb. One plate serves two.Bottomless chips and salsa is an added bonus.Fast service. The waitress, Cali, was on point. Got every order right, was nice, and didn't roll her eyes at us once.”
“This was our first time here. Service was great, person there walked us through the ordering process. Food was hot, fresh and delicious ! Will definitely be back.”
“This place was so nice! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was calming and reminded me of being back home in Hawaii. The customer service was good and friendly. I can't wait to come back for more! Hope to see this business thrive! Highly recommend for anyone interested in Hawaiian Cuisine!”

“The managers, shift leads, and workers this night were amazing. They were very kind and did their best despite the chaotic events. They handled an influx of people well under their circumstances.”
“Vegetarians, carnivores, and vegans alike can all break bread at Woody's Oasis. The best Lentil and Rice soup and Lentil and vegetable soup I think are found here. Their Cabbage Salad is crisp and herby, while the Falafel is crispy and flavorful. Chicken Shawarma and Chicken Kabobs are excellent as well as the Mediterranean salad. The fries are also excellent. The one thing I will not purchase anywhere else is Woody's Garlic Sauce - absolutely wonderful. And as a coffee lover, too, the Cardamom Turkish Coffee is phenomenal.Vegetarian options: The staff is quick to care for anyone with a food allergy, dietary restriction, or food preference.Parking: 8 feet away from the buildingKid-friendliness: High chair or booster seat is available in the dining area.”
“This is a must stop if you are on the MSU Campus. The ice cream is rich and creamy. Prices are reasonable. The only issue seems to be limited parking and no seating. But, if you haven't been here, you should!”
“The service was excellent andthe food was perfectly spiced and balanced. Definitely recommend to any Indian cuisine lovers out there. The garlic naan was perfection.”
“This was a great little place that we had tried to find one other time and couldn't but this time we were successful. They have a huge menu with all of the normal Thai dishes that I was expecting but also many interesting twists or special dishes. I went with the tried and true peanut curry and asked for the spice level "hot" which was the top of what they advertised on the menu. It had great flavor and tasted a little different than what I've had from that same dish, but in a good way. It was hot but maybe a bit less than I had hoped for and we were told Thai hot is another option (albeit scary sounding). If I was in the area I would certainly return”
“Cute shop, lovely lil bakery and milk tea tastes amazing <3 not too sweet, bobas good texture. 3min walk away from sapporo ramen too, for a nice dinner date ^_^”
“It's a great place to get a couple of hot dogs the way you want at a reasonable price. Order your food at kiosk and pay for it at the kiosk. Sit down at a picnic table and wait a couple of minutes for your name to be called, pick up your food, and enjoy it.”
“I love this place! Every time I’ve been here, everything ordered at the table has been delicious. The scallion spam pancakes - omg. It’s a comfy, casual space with very friendly owners - who run it every day! It’s so reasonably priced, too. Amazing value for such delicious food.”
“My go-to breakfast place whenever I’m having a bad day. Every employee that I’ve encountered has been super nice and friendly. Their loyalty program is also really convenient (and rewarding)Dietary restrictions: Super customizable menu items”

Kimchi Box
“I ordered pick up and got the Seoul chicken sandwich with kimchi and a bulgogi taco. First time trying it since I recently moved to the area.Y’all…it was soooo good. My favorite restaurant I’ve tried so far. The flavors were amazing, (the food wasn’t bland which is an issue I keep running into around here!!), and the portions were generous for a great price! And keep in mind I got a pick up order before they closed. I can only imagine how bomb it would be to eat it fresh at the restaurant. The parking situation is jacked but that’s hardly the restaurants fault. If you’re thinking about it, try it.”
“Portions are huge!! Was not expecting since we come from Southern Michigan where we just have American Chinese food. This was the most authentic Chinese food we have ever had. Plus, the service was so fast and efficient. They even bagged our food to-go for us! Definitely would come back next time we’re in Lansing.”

“Unfortunately I had to take my food to go, which I hate. It's never as good as when you can eat it fresh. To my surprise, however, the food was still amazing after reheating it. The lady at the counter was super sweet and gave me an excellent sampling of a bit of everything when she found out it was my first time there. I definitely want to go again. They had ample private parking. It appeared to be wheelchair accessible. It would be good for the whole family. Excellent experience. ♥️”

“The grilled cheese and poutine were ever good, though the poutine is not very authentic. The burgers were good. The Nashville and southwest salad were just ok. Service was a little slow - particularly waiting for check w/payment to be picked up.”
“Service is always excellent, staff members are kind and attentive to dining needs. Joe is amazing and one of the best servers on staff. I tried the strawberry shortcake which was made by Peter. Amazing dish. The strawberry compote was fresh and the raspberry chocolate ganache was a perfect balance between sweet and tart and the entire dessert incorporated different textures of crunch and gooey. I would recommend to anyone and thank the staff for placing it on the menu!Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free options and chefs are cognizant of dietary restrictions and allergens.”

“Now is this a 5 out of 5 compared to a big city famous sushi place? No. Is it way off the charts for land-locked East Lansing, Michigan? Absolutely. No questions asked best sushi in East Lansing.”
“Came to EL for a quick trip and sadly our fav restaurant Korea House was closed. Came to this little gem and found out their owner spoke canto and food was great! Ordered 乾炒牛河 (stir fry beef noodle) and 鮮肉雲吞 (wonton noodle), good wok hei!”

Omi Sushi
“My sister was a regular at this restaurant when she attended MSU. She let me know to check it out and I have to say the food did not disappoint. The spicy tuna roll tempura and the crunchy munch 2 we're amazing. The chefs were unable to cash me out due to a language barrier, but once the cashier was available I was able to get my food and leave in order to enjoy it ?!! I look forward to my next trip back to Lansing and of course this restaurant. I may dine in next time.”

“We were planning to meet family at 1130am for a birthday celebration and the first to arrive learned the restaurant was open only until 12pm for brunch. The staff went to work to accommodate us anyway. The food was fantastic, the servers were friendly and professional. The restaurant manager, Karima saw to our every need! We would highly recommend giving the brunch a try. Worth every penny and we really appreciated having the extra time. Thanks for a great experience!”

“Checked this place out over the weekend for the first time. Got there late but staff was super friendly and was knowledgeable in helping decide which options to go with. Even allowed us to stay past closing for a bit before kicking us out.Went with an osmanthus milk tea with 30% sugar and light ice and it was a floraly almost green tea-ish taste to my non expert tea palate. Would definitely recommend”
“We've tried many tea places in East Lansing, but this is our favorite! The tea tastes so much better than other places, and they offer a good variety of products and flavors on the menu. Everyone is kind also and I have yet to have a bad experience there. Definitely my first choice for milk tea or boba in East Lansing.”
“The guava mojito was very tasty and refreshing. I enjoyed the mango cake as well, but it is definitely for people who enjoy desserts that aren’t as sweet. The mangos themselves were juicy and delicious. Presentation is beautiful and staff was quick and friendly.”
“I came in and received some of the best service from a server. Being an owner of a food truck I know how people need to be treated, when being a paying guest. My server Kristin is probably hands down very knowledgeable about the menu. She was suggestive on things I should get or try, she was punctual on refills and makimg sure our table we were well taking care of. We were very happy. We will definitely be back again.!!!!!!”
“Felt like we stumbled across a hidden gem. The atmosphere was very welcoming; the owner made connections with each of his customers while we dined in. The food was phenomenal, and I continue to dream of the seafood pancake to this day. Everything was amazing, Thai tea, Kim chi (seriously, I don't even normally like Kim chi, but yum! ) & beef noodles. Cute place.”
“Great spot. Small and quiet atmosphere. Got the seaweed salad, ginger salad, vegetarian gyoza, sushi burrito and Chicken ramen. All was very delicious and fair priced.”
“I went to this place and it was wonderful, it was in the afternoon and lunch time. I entered to the place and a young man welcomed me, I ordered a mixture plate abit of everything and the drink was a yoghurt. “I have had to be served by young and very friendly people, but if the people who prepare the sandwich, it seems that they do not read the customer's instructions because I asked that they not put too much mayonnaise and they put too much mayonnaise, remember that the customer You pay for what you want, it is important to follow the instructions.”
“I ate an unhealthy amount of jimmy johns last year. I was eating a sandwich at least twice, sometimes three times a week. Definitely was way too easy to stop in on my way home from class. They aren’t the fastest jimmy johns I have been to, but they are far from being the slowest. I’d give them a solid B tier. We also got delivery from them all the time and they got the order right almost every time. One time my roommate ordered a sandwich and they forgot to put lettuce in it which I found hilarious.”
“Came in on the holiday and the drive through window staff was excellent. We drove in from Nashville to see the kids and wanted out turkey havarti bagels since we can't get them at home! As great as we remembered and the staff was excellent.”
“Pretty good Jimmy John's, not far from.MSU campus. Good food. Can get very busy especially on weekends or football games. It took a bit longer to receive our order. Otherwise, a good time.”
“This store is always clean and they are always accurate with my order. I just wish they were open earlier so I could swing by on my way to work for breakfast, but I go past so early I doubt that will happen.”
“Staff is very friendly and hard working they just are short staffed so not as fast of service you might expect but not from a lack of effort seen a big improvement the last month or so heading in the right ”

Hong's Cafe
“More people need to know about this Lansing hidden gem!The Food is very high-quality and priced very fairly.Plus, they’re one of the only Asian restaurants in Lansing providing spicy Korean tofu soup – like Soondubu style — if you know you know :)Try the fried shrimp - it’s so good compared to the competition!”
Cheap Eats
“Locally owed, quality food, what more can I say??I’m a regular and the owner couldn’t remind me more of my own mother. My literal only gripe, and I almost didn’t include it, sometimes things feel a bit slow there. I’ve had to leave twice while in a short line of less than 6 people because I only had 5-10 minutes to get food and things weren’t moving quick enough. That said, the owner noticed me leaving once and offered to quickly turn out my order… literally a momma run kitchen and I love it!”
“This coffee shop is inside of a nice hotel. Therefore, the atmosphere is high end for a hotel lobby, but not cozy like some other coffee shops. Nevertheless, this shop serves some amazing coffee! I personally enjoyed the whole experience. I am surprised they don't have more rave reviews.”
“Peanut Barrel is a classic dive bar spot that's quiet during the day but packed in the evenings. In the past it took a while to get your food but things have improved in that department! The long island iced teas are legendary here.”
“Came here for breakfast with my husband and we had a wonderful experience. When you come in, you seat yourself and then the waiter comes to take your order. I ordered the Breaky Bowl. The biscuits are homemade and so is the gravy. Needless to say we will be coming back.. sooon!!!”
“Love this place! Excellent bubble tea/boba. I come here all the time, and every Saturday with my family. The food is only 4 stars because sometimes it makes me feel sick but it ALWAYS tastes good ?Vegetarian options: No vegetarian FOOD but plenty of vegetarian friendly tea and drinksDietary restrictions: Great for lactose intolerant people!Kid-friendliness: Mostly kid friendly”
“The hummus wrap was just deliciuos! I love the kale, apple salad usually, but this time I couldn't eat it. It tasted very strongly of old refrigerator. Maybe stored uncovered in a not fresh fridge. So bad! Dissapointing because it can be so good. Management, check the kale salad, you will see what I mean.”
“I had one of those experiences where I wanted to leave a good review to show the establishment that I had a good time, but also didn't in fear of too many others having that same experience and it becoming difficult to reserve their private space for future events.Last night, we all but got snowed in for our planned event so we had to improvise and move up the time on short notice so that people could drive home safely. The staff was amazing! The pizzas came out perfect and were served an hour and a half earlier than originally requested. Our private bartenders Samantha and Victoria handled our group amazingly and were extremely attentive. The space itself was beautiful and tucked away from the rest of the bar.Working up to the event, I corresponded with Alexis who helped me put the food order and event planning into motion. She was extremely easy to work with and understanding as the event details changed often.I sincerely hope Sidebar understands how much we appreciated their professionalism and efforts in planning our event because I feel like I can't do it enough justice here with just a simple review.”
“Awesome little ice cream shop with a great variety of hard and soft serve flavors with all the toppings you'd expect. Quiet, patient and friendly staff that seems to be family owned maybe.Anyway...I had mint cookie and another scoop of... I don't know. But it was chocolate with chunks of peanut butter and... and... and... dude.... awesome... Oh strawberry and chocolate hot fudge.Yum!You hungry yet? What else do I have to write? This is my freshman thesis.Hands down the BEST ice cream shop still open at 9:35 pm and a rush of happy customers came in after me too! All happy! How can we go wrong? it's ice cream!(What? I need 49 more pages? Well maybe I'll change my thesis to something about creating world peace.Send ice cream to hot places and war zones! The end. What? That topic was taken? Well Tasty Twist should francise with a mobile marine shop to war zones and hot places = people happy = treaties signed = the end. Amen!)Vegetarian options: No animals were killed to make ice cream.oh wait... there's animal crackers. Whoops. Sorry, man.”
“As much as East Lansing has changed in the last 20 years, this place hasn’t and I love it. I almost got lost going because I didn’t recognize my old neighborhood but felt a return to home when I walked in. Buckets of beer, the MSU fight song sang after a Spartan win, and some after dinner karaoke to finish out a great reunion with some classmates. Get the tater tots!!”
“I've never written reviews but the kimchi jigae at this place is literally so good, caters to my taste and my friends (apparently it taste like authentic Korean food). I've had kimchi jigae from other Korean restaurants but this place is top tier. Make sure to call beforehand to see if they're open because the hours that's posted on Google isn't accurate (probably from a previous owner or something). I wanted to gate keep this place but it needs more customers so they don't go out of business !!”
“I've loved this place my whole life, took my mom there and it didn't disappoint! The girl at the counter was super nice! “I ordered a delivery yesterday for lunch. I got the Tuesday special and bread sticks. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The delivery was the quickest I have ever experienced. It was like 10 minutes after I ordered the driver was walking at my front door. The pizza and stick are the most delicious I have had in a very long time. This will be my go to for pizza going forward. GREAT JOB! I don't think it van get any better than this. Thank you! I highly recommend this place. They get 50 out of 10 stars.”
“I accidentally ate my friend’s appetizer thinking it was my meal, and they gave him another one for free. The food is also delicious and a great value for its price. Highly ”
“Service is always excellent, staff members are kind and attentive to dining needs. Joe is amazing and one of the best servers on staff. I tried the strawberry shortcake which was made by Peter. “I'm a big fan of this bar. The staff at the bar are very attentive even when it is busy. I did not have to wait long for a beverage and the prices were reasonable. There plenty of TVs to watch any sporting events during the week and the atmosphere is electric most days when I have gone there. If you're in town and looking for a nice spot to have a couple cold ones and watch sports, this is your spot. I recommend the apple pie cider!”

“This is a place to be right here. They have it all from lights to good music to absolutely clean clean floors and bathroom. Food is good, and I would say a safe bar. Security don’t joke around so don’t come looking to be funny. I would recommend this place over any club in ”
“We love coming to Big Mom's for Korean dogs! They do offer other selections, but haven't tried them all yet. I did try the k-fried chicken today and it was great too!My favorite is the half and half no sugar, but don't shy away from any of them!”

“As a tourist I just happened to run into the place. I was headed to hopcat before and thought I'd give this place a try. I am glad I did. The al pastor bowl I had was flavorful and the Tequila Hurricane was great as well. The service was good and I could not find any reason to dislike anything. I would recommend this to anyone.Parking: There is no street parking. However, there is a paid parking garage nearby.”
“Great atmosphere and decor. The Irish slammers (car bombs) were tasty and the beer selection on tap had a great variety. The service was prompt and friendly as well. If you're looking for a classic American Irish bar, look no further than here in East Lansing!”

“The cashier was absolutely amazing and sweet. As a service person myself, I could tell that she was above and beyond. The food and atmosphere are fantastic and the menu isn't complex, it's confined and simple which I like a lot. Will be coming back again!!!”
“The grilled cheese and poutine were ever good, though the poutine is not very authentic. The burgers were good. The Nashville and southwest salad were just ok. Service was a little slow - particularly waiting for check w/payment to be picked up.”
“Pretty good Jimmy John's, not far from.MSU campus. Good food. Can get very busy especially on weekends or football games. It took a bit longer to receive our order. Otherwise, a good time.”
“This is a must stop if you are on the MSU Campus. The ice cream is rich and creamy. Prices are reasonable. The only issue seems to be limited parking and no seating. But, if you haven't been here, you should!”
“The hospitality here is unmatched, working in restaurants we frequently talk about treating customers like guests. This is one of the first times that I felt that I have genuinely been treated like family.”
