They almost never follow through with their pickup order. I have done pickup 10 times and 7 times the coffee was not ready after 20-25 minutes.
A little neighborhood coffee and pastry shop. Friendly staff. An interesting selection of pastries and a good place to get a decent coffee.
This is my far our favorite coffee/pastry/breakfast/bakery in Michigan. Pretty much anything you can get here will be amazing, but specifically you need to try something with custard in it. I've never had custard anywhere else that's as good as this place.
We're always thinking up excuses to come into Lansing so we can stop at Chapelure to get some delicious coffee and treats. Our kids love coming here with us too, and we make an outing of getting desserts or breakfast before going to the zoo or the children's gardens or whatever else.
Bad experience. No croissants at 9:30 am and not allowed to pre order and pay. Staff not follow instructions to use separate bags. Merely thru in a second bag. Over charged me by almost $6. Never again!!!!
Stopped in with my wife and ordered a few different pastries. They were all soft and fluffy and tasted amazing. They taste like a pastry you would get in a more expensive bakery in a larger city. Exceptional!

Latte was good, but selection of sweets was poor. Maybe I came on a bad day.
The gal that made my coffee was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions. Staff was quick and friendly and the baked goods are on point

Just make here today with my fiance 6/22/24 @1:39 pm and had the best experience ever! The two ladies working were extremely helpful and super kind to us and answered any questions we had! I got a oat milk caramel latte with mint extract and it was delicious and my fiance got a honey and almond latte iced and it is very delicious as well! We also got a couple of pastries as well! Will be coming back soon!

I got a macaron, some chocolate covered strawberries, and a canoli. The macron was hard as a rock and tasted burnt. The strawberries smelled like wine and were starting to rot under the chocolate. The canoli was okay, but nothing to write home about.
The only saving grace here was the fact that the employees were nice and the place looked clean.

No vegetarian savory pastry options so I got macaroons instead and they were rock hard. Not even the option of bagel with cream cheese! It isn’t exactly cheap either. Won’t be going back. Also.. place could be cleaner.
Wonderful little upscale coffee shop; each time I've been there, the atmosphere has been intimate, the pastries scrumptious!

Raised in a different food culture, i believe Chapelure's baked goods are what baked goods are meant to be: ones that you can taste all ingredients not just SUGAR. If US baked goods would cut down on sugar content, they could approximate Chapelure's quality..
One of my favorite places. The espresso chiller drink is the best.
