Foster Coffee has become one of my favorite places. Every single week I look forward to the days I get to Foster Coffee, and it is generally a highlight in any day I go. You walk in and are greeted by an industrial rustic aesthetic and incredibly pleasant barista staff. The coffee is wonderful, but even moreso, the atmosphere is so wholesome and warm. There's nowhere else I'd rather find myself on a morning.

I'm in town 4-5 times per year, always my go-to. Today was my first time using the app (user-friendly and perfectly timed for a walk from the Marriott). That's a plus! Ordered Avocado Toast and Pour Over (wanted to try the Teojomulco) coffee. I arrived just after 9AM, toast was ready and I saw my coffee in process, so presumably they got a fast start on it. Also a plus! ... UNTIL a line of 4-5 people formed, and baristas priorities shifted...now my pour over became neglected in favor of helping EVERYBODY in line first. Fast forward to 10 minutes later (after everyone in line ordered and were served) my now lukewarm, over-extracted pour over was ready...also didn't get to experience how this coffee should taste when brewed properly. If your staff doesn't like making pour overs, maybe you shouldn't offer them. There is zero way it should sit brewing for that long. Big regrets today about visiting Foster Coffee--while using the app is convenient, once you tip there's no incentive to provide good service, as I found out today...money for the coffee and tip definitely went down the drain (toast was great). I gave 3 Stars today, as Foster Coffee usually provides a good experience. Just cross your fingers that a line doesn't form while your order is in progress, or it could become ignored. Today was very much a Starbucks-like experience (which, if you don't know, is not good).

Great coffeeshop a walk away from MSU campus! Avocado toast was simply delicious and vanilla latte had great flavor.
Overall a good place to meet with friends or get work done solo. Would recommend for anyone!

Very solid coffee shop w their own roasts - knowledgeable about their coffees and a very nice cold brew. Worth it.
Foster is great coffee shop in downtown East Lansing with a great selection of specialty drinks and breakfast/lunch food. There are two floors of seating and the atmosphere is always calm - good spot to relax with some coffee. The iced miel (honey and cinnamon) latte is my go-to. This is my preferred stop on the way to the East Lansing Farmer's Market in Valley Court Park.
Parking: There is a parking garage on Albert St behind the East Lansing Target typically with a lot of available spots.

Staying in EL for a few days and came across Foster’s and loved it so much I came back the next day! The coffee is absolutely wonderful and everyone working at the counter is so kind, friendly, and genuinely take the time to get to know their customers. Would 100% recommend. Great little coffee shop addition to EL and tons of seating.
