Atmosphere is exactly what a college-town pizza joint should be — dead quiet at random times, then shoulder-to-shoulder chaos after the bars or after games. That’s part of the charm.
This is a true East Lansing gem. I started coming here back in undergrad in the late ’90s and, somehow, nothing important has changed. These days I’m bringing my family when we’re in town picking up our daughter from MSU, and the pizza still hits the same.
Food is consistently excellent, service is fast and no-nonsense, and it still feels like a place that belongs here — not something trying too hard to be trendy.
If I have to nitpick, it’s the cheap plastic knives. They put up a heroic effort, but there’s no universe where those things consistently cut through this pizza. Expect to sacrifice a few knives (and maybe a fork) to get the job done. Small price to pay.
Still the first place we think of when we’re back in East Lansing.

I do not understand the good ratings for this place. The reheated slice was either put in an oven that was too hot or for to long. Both of my slices looked good before the reheat and came out burnt and crunchy. What a disappointment that the girl serving me could recognize the error. I won't be back.

Georgio's is my favorite pizza place in the area. The variety is unmatched in my opinion. My favorites are the chicken fajita pizza, the Maria's white, the Mediterranean pizza, and the Eggplant Parmesan pizza.

Most people local to East Lansing probably already know about this gem. If you are ever in the area, new MSU prospects/families, you need to check it out. Be warned though the slices are big and filling. I got three slices for myself to take home to the Macomb County area. Pictured is the taco pizza iirc. It's just as good as the potato pizza and the bacon and pepperoni pizza I got. Definitely looking forward to the opportunity to get more of their delicious pizza over the next several years. GO GREEN!
