We preferred the Midland location. The Lansing location is more laid back but it took forever! To get our food and drinks

Very nice spot for Friday date night. My husband and I love coming here. They have the most delicious mocktails. Very fresh fish.

Everything you would expect from a good Japanese restaurant. Very nice.
Resturant was clean, ppl were friendly and atmosphere was comfortable. Of course, the food was great..
I did feel the menu was on the pricey side.

I wanted to preface this by saying that I do not like to leave bad reviews. However, it was a really bad experience. The manager and hostess were incredibly rude, the wait time just to get an appetizer was 45 minutes (whereas others around us were getting their meals), and food itself was just okay. Thankfully the waitress herself was kind. We will not be back and will instead go to the Midland location that we love.
I sat at the bar and ordered a French press coffee from their teas and coffee section of the menu. The service was very excellent with a friendly bartender who could read every cue I gave him. I ordered the Salmon Sashimi, which took longer than expected but only because they were busy, and I was taking quite the time enjoying my coffee, so there was no rush. The fatty cuts of salmon were delicious and perfectly curated into a flower pattern. Overall, it was a good experience, especially for the price which ranges about 20-30 dollars a person. Just don't expect to be able to bring large groups here as this is a sushi bar ill suited to group endeavors. 4/5 above average, close to perfect. A side note, they have wonderful furnishings and dishware here.

Me and my wife went. We ordered. Waited... waited... we noticed other people got food, not us. We waited more... nothing. We left.

Tonight was my first time here in a very long time. (I moved out of state and only recently got back.) Happy to be back in Michigan so I can patronize this amazing business again! The food was outstanding. The tea was exquisite. The interior design, tableware and service was better than I remember. A divine experience for sure. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars across the board is because of the number of birthday parties in the house during my visit. Not the restaurants fault of course but I was hoping for a more low key visit. Next time maybe. I’ll definitely be back regardless. The food and excellent service fed my soul. 💯
