Celebrating with friends we got the California roll, cucumber roll, spicy tuna roll, yam yam roll and their famous MSU roll with several pieces of sushimi and of course the Miso soup and their ginger soy salad. Can not recommend highly enough. Definitely the best sushi in EL

The service is great! The beef bulgogi is also good. The California roll, Alaska roll, and miso soup were very bland and I didn’t like how they tasted. My favorite was probably the spring rolls because they were very tasty. The prices are affordable.

Amazing service. Amazing food. Literally no notes. Go here. Don’t even think about. Go get a roll and enjoy the EL staple.

i usually don’t leave reviews but this place is disgraceful and disgusting. food is cheap cause it’s made poorly. the kitchen staff is rude and uptight. the place is overwhelmingly dirty there’s roaches, nats, flys, spiders. looks like they haven’t dusted, disinfected, or cleaned in months. there’s no management in the building whatsoever and if there is they are disrespectful and rude to the staff. i wouldn’t recommend. health department needs to come take care of this mess of a restaurant.

This place is freaking awesome. The food is good and cheap. The service is good too. Good hidden college town spot. They have weird hours, but I usually work around them lol. The vibes chill, but don't eat there too often in person usually get takeout. But one time they thought I was dining and dashing a year ago and it was really awkward. Anyways sushi ya really put the ya in sushi.

Been here once, have only a few things to say:
- sushi was great and well priced
- out server was great and attentive
- somehow this place only played bangers for music and made my visit 5 stars
Will be coming back frequently now...

This is my favorite sushi spot in town. The service is great, the rolls are fresh and the atmosphere is cozy. You can even eat outside on the patio.

Sushi Ya is a staple in East Lansing. They have great sushi and extremely friendly staff. The Honey Ginger Tea is perfect for a cool rainy day. They use top notch ingredients for the sushi. I would recommend checking out Sushi Ya if you want quality sushi in East Lansing.

They don't give change if you pay in cash and don't waste your money on the sushi burritos they don't taste like anything.
