Probably among the most solid places to eat at MSU, second to Brody in terms of selection and quality. Get there early if you want a good spot because this place gets busy really quick.
First time guest - had a wonderful experience. Food was amazing, staff was incredibly kind.
One of the best dining halls on campus!
This cafeteria has almost as much selection as Brody, the food is just as good, and it's easier in and out due to the more compact layout of the building and the cafeteria. Prefer eating here after a stressful day because it's easier.
Please update your hours if you aren’t going to be serving lunch before 11:00. I would not have wasted $11 to sit and wait for food to be ready only to have to leave before anything came out because I had to go to class. My time and money is valuable and I just wasted 30 minutes and $11 dollars for no food.
2 years ago, SnyPhi was a 5 star. Every station was open for every meal, the salad bar always had a fresh protein, and they had food until 10pm (even 11PM? before 2018). Nowadays, it’s much worse. Regularly limited to a couple stations only (especially at dinner), and closes at 9. They dropped some of the favorite meals such as grain bowls, no more fresh protein at salad bar, and the food is more simple in general. This is obviously because of staffing shortages (even though MSU dining started going downhill in 2018) and Covid-19. Students have been getting many emails about employment opportunities, and even requests to VOLUNTEER in the dining halls. However, applicants are…a)not getting responses for 3 weeks- over a monthb)getting denied for seemingly small reasons that could be overlooked if the problem is so bad.c)forced to go through a weeks long, seemingly excessive training process that again, should probably be rethought if the problem is so bad that they are asking for volunteers. To us students, it seems like the school is using the necessary Covid-19 protocols as an excuse to cut their costs EVEN further. Obviously safety is the most important thing, and some of these disruptions in service are for cleaning/safety reasons. But if there are applicants who want jobs out there, why are they not being hired?(I’ll postface this by saying I am a student, with a job, who has never applied for an on-campus job)
I used to dine here consistently and then I also spent three years as a cook here. Awesome staff, fresh food, and definitely a highlight of my MSU experience! :) Very flexible when it came to accommodating my school schedule and working around my other job.I moved away from the Lansing area but I miss The Gallery the most!
Best Café on campus

Good selection. They have toppings for the icecream at this dining hall too
FANTASTIC! Best dining hall on campus.
Hard to beat for 6.75 per meal.
Food has great variance and quality. Meals are customizable, so you can be healthy or unhealthy if you like. The late night hours are a plus too.
Amazing food
