This is my favorite cafe in East Lansing & Lansing! I was hesitant at first because of the price, but realized it’s worth it. The ingredients are fresh and all dishes taste amazing! ❤️ Their toasts/sandwiches come with pickles or sour carrot salad so I’ve been craving this so many times during my pregnancy! I usually don’t ask favors at restaurants but ended up asking for more salad and they were generous with the amount! 😊 I really hope this cafe stays for a long time. It’s rare to find not too greasy, fresh sandwiches in town! My favorite menu is their BLT sandwich, mushroom soup, and banana Toast, and I like their iced coffee menu.

If you haven’t been to Toaste yet, you are missing out. I have tried over half of their menu and there isn’t a single item that I have any bit of improvement on. All flavors are well balanced and can we take a moment for the side of pickled carrots or pickles you get, too! Also, two words: strawberry matcha. No notes. You need it!

Through Uber Eats, I ordered the maple bacon and avocado sandwich, and it was so greasy I couldn't tell what it tasted like. The desert, blueberry pastry, was bland. For the price of the food, I was disappointed. Now I'm still hungry because I couldn't eat my food. I'm grossed out. Why do restaurants saturate their food with loads of butter and grease? If the food is prepared correctly, a little butter for flavoring goes a long way.

I was visiting my son at MSU and we stopped in for a cup of coffee. The service was prompt and the young man at the counter was very friendly. I decided that while I was there, I'd grab a couple sandwiches to take home for dinner. The menu isn't huge but each sandwich had an interesting twist with unique ingredients - especially the condiments. I ordered a Maple BLT-A which had candied bacon, avocado spread, and caramelized onion sauce. Definitely a leveled up BLT! I also ordered the Turkey Brie which had an awesome fig jam, onion sauce and both provolone and brie cheese. Both were on homemade foccacia bread that was airy with just the right amount of crisp to the top. The prices are very reasonable with generously sized sandwiches priced at around $11. I wanted to get dessert too but I wasn't sure how it would hold up during my hour drive home. I'll definitely swing by the next time I'm in town though. This place is a hidden gem and worth a stop!

Went to Toast today for lunch, and it was the best decision. Wanted to stop by so many times, as I'm a fan of their sister dessert location, Make It Sweet. Everything we got there were fantastic! From mushroom creme soup, Kimchi Tuna melt, Banana Pudding Toast and banana latte! Food, service, dessert and drinks were 10/10!

What a lovely spot for lunch. The food was delicious, I had their take on a blt and it was so good. Their bread & side of marinated carrots were tasty as well. Their owners are so nice and take great care in their food!

Staff is always very friendly and welcoming. Truly make me feel very appreciated. I love there potato leak soup and the avocado toast. Always looks very clean. Food comes fast considering they are making it fresh. The music is good volume and comforting. This most recent visit they gave every current customer just complimentary potato leak soup. I would recommend Toaste to all! Oh also recently tried there coffee it is also very good.
