“If there is an olive burger on the menu, my husband is going to try it. Me? It’s not something I seek out. Until now. The olive smash burger at Route 23 is amazing!! The olive topping is the best my husband says he has ever had and I have to agree. It’s not your typical mayonnaise based sauce, but rather a thick sour cream and cream cheese olive spread that adds the perfect creaminess. The burger overall is so well balanced in flavor. I think we have found our new favorite (which is not easy because all of the food we’ve ever tried has been fantastic!)“

“My wife and I have stayed here around a dozen of times over the years and every experience has been wonderful. We liked the hotel so much we got married here on the beach last August. Susie took care of every detail and helped put on a wonderful reception. Everything was perfect and no detail was overlooked. I would encourage anyone looking for a place to get married on the sunrise side of Michigan to consider the Tawas Bay Beach resort. Whether you're staying for a night or planning a wedding, everything you need is under one roof. Bayside is a wonderful restaurant with great food and a separate lounge next door with entertainment. Don't forget the beach bar with food and drinks in the summer months.“
