We will never eat there again. Not only did we receive bad service, which I can understand if they are understaffed, but there is no reason to serve undercooked raw shrimp. We ordered bacon wrapped shrimp. I cut into and took a bite without looking at it first. Immediately thought the texture was weird and spit it out. It was raw. The bartender had it removed from the bill. The rest of the food was ok, but we didn't have much of an appetite after chewing on raw shrimp....read full review
the beach resort refused to work with the red cross to put a family up after their house burnt down , this family lost everything only made it out with what they had on . they lost a fur baby in the fire . & the one thing they should not have had to worry about was a place to sleep ! the people that work there are beyond heartless & you couldn't pay me enough to stay there !!

The Tawas Bay Beach Resort & Conference Center offers a mixed experience for visitors. While some guests praise the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff, particularly Tiffany, others find the evening and afternoon shift staff to be rude and unhelpful. The resort's amenities, such as the beach box and free breakfast, were appreciated by many customers, and the recent renovations to the banquet room and chandeliers have been well-received. Guests enjoyed the restaurant and bar, describing the food as very good and the drinks as fabulous, with lively entertainment like sports and karaoke. The hotel rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer a nice water view, with some guests noting the rooms are standard but excellent for a relaxing stay. Many visitors also mention the walkability to downtown East Tawas and the convenience of onsite facilities, including a lounge and beach bar with food and drinks in summer. While the hot tub, sauna, and heated pool had issues during one stay, overall, guests find the resort to be a pleasant place with a beautiful setting, friendly staff, and recent upgrades, though service consistency could improve.
