!! Attention Paying Guest!! You should know what you're paying for White blankets not being washed between guest mattress covers never get changed the brown liners at the bottom of the bed don't get changed makes for nesting grounds for bugs also coffee pots totally disgusting and fridges toilet have so much grime at the bottom not only that but the supervisor steals tips from hardworking housekeeping staff very very unprofessional I've been a housekeeping inspector for yrs and what I seen is so gross and this is what they are doing to paying guestsNoteworthy details: Shame shame

This trip was a huge disappointment. The bar and restaurant were closed for a private event. I thought we should have been made aware of that at the time of booking. We could have stayed down the road for $30 cheaper with a pool and hot tub. We chose this place because of the bar and restaurant on site. Huge disappointment.Noteworthy details: Always check for private events before booking.

Had a formal event there, they didn't absolutely wonderful job! The updates they meet with a bank room and the chandeliers are beautiful. Wonderful wait staff. Food was okay. I've been eating there for over 30 years and I've had better, but the event was pretty big. Kudos to the new owners. The place looks wonderful.

Had a great experience checking in and had to switch rooms to stay another night. Was charged 250 for smoking in the room when we did not smoke in our room. Was told the next guest couldn't even check in because of the smell. We have been waiting an hour to talk to a manager about this issue. We had planned on doing our wedding here and future vacations but after this we will never be back

Rooms where average, but the views were absolutely stunning. The bar downstairs was amazing. We had fish some kind of apple cocktails and everything was to die for. The lighting, the view at night, it was the most romantic night of my life!! Would love to come back and enjoy it in the summer????Rooms: Rooms were average but clean. Loved the paya hygiene products the resort gave out and the maxwell coffee was a bonus after a long night.. Now the views were what took the cake... waking up to the bay with the sun shining on my face made it feel like a dream. We loved itNearby activities: Tons of nearby outdoor activitiesFood & drinks: Definitely recommend the bar and restaurant downstairs! Drinks were stiff and food was hot and delicious!!

Didn’t stay in the hotel, but the service at the bar was nice, drinks were good, karaoke was fun as well.Would certainly go back, but would probably get a room next time.

Great weekend getaway place. Pool, hot tub, sauna wonderful. Like having restaurant and bar on site which had nightly events. Karaoke was fun. Drinks way to expensive though. Staff very nice. Walkable to a lovely town with good eateries and shops. Enjoyed a movie in the theatre over 100 years old. State Park close and we enjoyed a lighthouse visit and hiking. Highly recommend this town.Walkability: To the downtown area, park, beach, pier

We got a King bed, street side. I was told it was one of the best places to stay in town. I have never seen a hotel room so dirty and have mystery substances on the furniture. Dusty, dirty, broken, tv didn't work, ... it was just so sketchy. The receptionist was kind and hospitable, no complaints there. The doors from the outside in weren't working so anyone can get in. The stairs and halls were dirty. Our room had a broken lock so we put furniture in front of the door for some kind of security.

I was pretty disappointed this past summer 2023.The Tawas Bay Beach Resort was sold & is now currently under new ownership. They're great, not my issue. They've managed to keep everything up to my comfort standards!Except for:The previous owners D&C.Made it routine upkeep to be out on that beach, every morning of everyday, for the soul purpose of grooming the sand.Rake on the back of a rider. It's little, but it's huge.Dead fish, seaweed, trash, feathers, bonfire debris, animal feces,& it all washes up to the shore. Still my favorite place, but let my kids bury each other in the sand.I think not!Noteworthy details: It truly is the best spot at the beach!

I did not find a single thing wrong with this place. Very friendly and awesome amenities. I've never stayed in a place that had a drink window in the pool room AND arcade games. Restaurant can be a little pricey but super worth it for the quality of items you'll get. 10/10 would stay

Where do I start? When I booked the site said they provide breakfast and they didnt. So lets add $80 to my bill for that. They booked the wrong room at a higher rate and they did change that after argueing with me for 10 minutes. The internet was nonexistant and the area the hotel is located has hardly any cell reception at all. The hot tub was full of large clumps of black hair, I mean allot. It also had what looked like feces. The pool was also unkept and filthy. The staff was ok but mean as heck on checkin. The room was ok. It was clean and the beds were comfy. The cable was horriable and lacked any good channels. Overall it was a really bad experiance and I will not be going back. Did I mention we are regulars to the hotel at 2 nights every year when we visit family.Safety: The doors at the back of the hotel were not secure.Food & drinks: Breakfast was posted as provided and it is not.

I cannot give any stars for rooms or location. But just trying to talk to customer service was a waste of time. Owner needs to hire better help. If you're not happy with your job. If you're not good with customer service. Don't work in the field.
