Ethanology Distillation

Shannon, Tyler, and Nick are class acts. True artists that really know what they’re doing and will leave you speechless and broke if you’re not careful. Can’t help but return every time while “up north.” They’re that great and that consistent. GO HERE if in need of indulgent libations. I would be shocked if you were disappointed.
P.S. Leave with some coffee if you’re a die hard fan.

We always enjoy visiting for their amazing cocktails. It’s a must for any visitors coming to Northern Michigan.

This was our first stop into Ethanology and it far exceeded our expectations. Shannon was our mixologist and she was fantastic. She explained all the different spirits and how they worked in combination with a variety of flavor profiles. Our experience was literally like a “dinner and a show” as they say. In this case clearly a “drink and a show”. It was so entertaining to watch how the drinks were prepared. There outdoor space was very inviting, and while some might not favor the smell of camp fire smoke we absolute loved it and felt it was part of the entire experience. We (I) HIGHLY recommend adding Ethanology to your list of places to stop. You will not be disappointed. And cross your fingers you get Shannon!!!

I LOVE Ethanology. We have gone several times a year for 4+ years now. We live 2 hours away and make a point to make trips specifically to go here. The bar staff really does treat you like family - they remember our engagement and etc. every time we visit. Their drinks are phenomenal and every season it changes to feature that season’s local flavors. Love love LOVE. (And take some white whiskey home with you too.)

Fantastic cocktails with a gorgeous patio. You could also tell that the staff really cared about what they were presenting. It is a must stop as far as I am concerned.

This place has become a tradition when we visit the area. Great spot day or night and the drinks are varied and delicious. Also an unusually good hang for families of littles as well!

Very cool place with an extensive cocktail menu. I knocked a star off because I wanted to buy some spirits but there was no prices on them or anywhere so that turned me off from buying anything. I hate places that don’t have prices for things.

This spot was amazing! The staff was friendly, the drinks are handcrafted, and the design of the distillery itself is really cool. I had the Jorge el Curioso and it was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. I came with a group of 7 other people, and every drank I tried was impeccable. Definitely recommend stopping in!
