I just want to take the time to review this amazing location. It is a hole in the wall type place that is more a grab and go for food (although I believe some seating is available) with absolutely incredible homemade food and generous portion sizes for the amount you pay. I make it a point to stop and grab food here when I do my yearly visit up north in the Elk Rapids area. I have had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes and rice in the past and all was delicious. Do not expect a fine dining experience but do expect home made food that rivals it.

Kolus has excellent food, bbq ribs, bbq chicken, meatloaf and gravy, and fish on friday. An assortment of veggies, and sides absolutely delicious.

We got the ribs. I thought they were fine, my husband thought they were stringy. Couldn't beat the price and you get 2 sides of your choice.

THE FOOD IS SOOOOOO GOOD!!! Y'all I haven't had food this good since my Grandma passed!! The meatloaf is wonderful, the potatoes and greens were bomb and the sweet potatoes took me HOME!!! This place is a foodies dream, hidden in Elk Rapids. Do your taste buds a favor and stop in! Did I mention that she only charges $5 for a to go box!! And the portions are a good size!!

Can't visit this area and not eat here. The Food is amazing ((made from scratch with quality ingredients) very inexpensive, and the atmosphere is intimate, clean, and charming.
