Tried to order the creole jambalaya and the waitress recommended we choose a different entree as this one was “sad”. So my partner and I both got the hoppin john which consisted of canned corn, canned tomatoes, and canned beans over a bed of poorly cooked white rice. It was honestly terrible and I would’ve rather just eaten their pre-dinner bread that was served to our table. Do not recommend this place.

Well, for my first real experience at a Cajun restaurant it was more than I expected it to be. There was live music as we ate outside. Food arrived quickly and without issue. For all of you first-timers not everything was spicy as you'd think for a Cajun restaurant. The gumbo has a kick but done in the right way.

We ate here 4 years ago and had an awesome time. Yesterday we went and service was horrible, food was ok, but it has lost the luster. Our server didn’t mention any specials- do we ordered off the menu. After our food arrived the table next to ours, with different server, heard about the specials and the happy hour and other items. I never got a refill on my ice tea. After waiting almost 15 minutes for the check I got up and asked the hostess to find our check. We paid and left. I doubt we will ever return.

I’ve been going to this restaurant since it opened, I ordered the fried chicken dinner. They brought me a chicken patty. If I wanted Gordon food I would not have believed that I could not get it at Pearl’s
I call Pearl’s the Portal to New Orleans!💜💚💛 I’ve been around the globe, and this was the best meal of my life from start to finish! Between four of us we had the swordfish special, crawfish étouffée, shrimp and grits, chicken Alfredo, cobbler, and bananas foster. Every bite was better than the one before - we all agreed! I’m from the south, so to find this NOLA gem in northern Michigan was nothing short of magical!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Though the food is just okay, this place gets 4 stars for having a separate veg/vegan menu where options are clearly marked. In a small tourist town, this is really great. Fun atmosphere and cocktails, too.
