Place was great hands down. Food was awesome, and the atmosphere was even better. Coming here in late November, the place is so well decorated for Christmas it ups the experience to a whole new level. Highly recommend coming here during the winter months, and I’m sure it’s just as great during summer.

Not worth it. Just the two of us stopping in at 2pm on a Saturday, not busy. Ordered the seafood linguine which the menu advertised as shrimp, mussels and scallops. Unfortunately, it came with zero scallops; it was tasty but missing 1/3 of the seafood. Brought it to the attention of the waiter who checked and came back to tell us that the ingredients have been changed but they hadn’t changed the menu yet. We asked if they would adjust the price due to less seafood than expected but they refused, which feels like a bait and switch. You order the item based on the advertised ingredients but you don’t get it and they won’t do anything to make it right. The steak burger was cooked nicely and fries were tasty. We both stopped in the rest rooms before leaving; the men’s bathroom was filthy and the trash was full. Women’s bathroom had zero toilet paper in one stall and very little in the other. A disappointing experience, didn’t meet expectations and would not recommend.

We had four meals, two were the chicken salad wrap. The hamburger was great, the fried chicken wrap was great, but the 2 chicken salad wraps were a thumbs down!! They were a mix of white and dark meat, maybe 2 to 3 cherries per wrap and almost no pecans. The mayo had almost no flavor. I would go there again but I would pass on the chicken salad.

Our experience was great! The chief is obviously very talented; the presentation is beautiful & creative. The food is great quality, fresh & prepared with excellence. Service was professional. Outdoor seating offers beautiful lake views. Highly recommend.

Portion size small on bread service!! Out of coke and mashed potatoes??!! On a Thursday night at 6?! Lots of spiders on deck coming down from above and on to tables and people. It's a shame... Food did taste good... Not likely to return.

I have walked out of only 2 restaurants in my entire 48 years of life - this was the 2nd one. $20 for guacamole !?! The prices were absolutely rediculous. The atmosphere was nice when compared to many places along the entire coast of Michigan.. but it certainly wasn't $20+ appetizers nice or $30+ entrees nice. It wouldn't have mattered how good the food was .. the prices just aren't justifiable.
I have eaten here twice. The food is good, the service is also good but the outside patio on a good sunny day is what makes the experience most enjoyable. On my last visit I had a good kale salad with chicken, the crab dip was also good. If you come here with children be prepared for longer waiting times at peak hours.

A Wonderful afternoon at Riverwalk Restaurant in Elk Rapids
We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Riverwalk Restaurant in Elk Rapids during busy Harbor Days. From the moment we were seated, we were taken care of with genuine warmth and attention by our server, Magda. She was outstanding — attentive without being intrusive, checking in on us multiple times throughout our stay to make sure everything was just right.
Magda handled our table of five with grace and efficiency, and her friendly demeanor made our lunch even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find service this good especially during the busy Elk Rapids summer tourist season — she truly went above and beyond.
The food was excellent. Every lunch dish was tasty and thoughtfully prepared and presented very nicely. The children’s menu was also very good with choices that even the most picky eater would find something they would like.
Highly recommend Riverwalk to anyone visiting the area — and if you’re lucky enough to get Magda as your server, you’re in for a top-notch experience!
