Amazing how it has grown. Yet, as one of their biggest supporters in the past 20 years I no longer enjoy their beer. They joined the bandwagon on cans only. The only one that benefits from can only is the investor in my opinion. I do enjoy filling my growler on occasion.

What can I say about Short's Brewing that you don't already know. It's been one of my favorite breweries for almost two decades.This place doesn't have all the exotic flavors that you might have had or heard of, but there are twenty five or so options. And it's certainly a nice little spot along the highway to grab a pint.There's no kitchen here, but there was a guy selling hot dogs if you must eat.

We unfortunately weren't overly impressed with the food here, but it was decent! We're definitely spoiled from years of living in California/Hawaii, so I think for the location, the food is great. The Midwest just doesn't do Mexican the same way. Overall, the setting is great and it's a lovely place to grab food and beer during the warmer months.

Wow, the food truck is amazing! You get a huge portion of great tasting food for a good price and it all pairs great with a local IPA suggested by one of the friendly bar tenders. Great atmosphere all around. I took my leftovers home and couldn't even finish it all for lunch the next day. Definitely stop by.

The Short's Brewing Company Pull Barn is a cool concept and great for summer months. They added a bunch of outdoor seating to their production facility to make it a second Short's destination. We stopped by with some friends while staying in the area and had a nice time. It was pretty busy but we were able to snag a picnic table outside. They also have some limited indoor seating as well as a huge lawn where you can picnic or bring camp chairs. The space is definitely kid-friendly and they even have a sandbox. Dogs are allowed outside as well.The beer list is pretty extensive and it was fun to try some new things like a ginger-lemongrass cider and their passionfruit canned rose wine, which was so good I bought some to take home. They don't have their own kitchen, but there were two food trucks on site and their website says you can order takeout from a nearby restaurant too.They had a musician playing the night we were there and the vibes were chill and relaxed, which I liked. I'd definitely come back in the future if I'm up this way again!

Highly recommended! Family friendly brewery. Great prices, friendly & professional customer service. Has great outdoor activities for children and adults! They also give so much back to the community.

Before you waste your time driving all the way to this town that already has nothing, know that this is the "tasting location" and their website is inaccurate. They don't serve any restaurant food here like their website says when you click it for this location and it's all overpriced junk from two food trucks instead. Asked the young bartender girl if they had pizza like on their website menu and she looked at me like I'm an idiot for even asking, like ok? Hot dog guy was super nice but couldn't take card payment at the time which is understandable. He was the most reasonably priced thing there.Waste of time and an hour of driving. Update your website.Update after the "business owners" smart a** response. First off, a simple sorry would have sufficed. Second, one of your young female bartenders literally told us a new person is running the website and said it "just hasn't been updated" so don't try to correct me. I said what I said based on what YOUR website at the time said. Lastly, if I wanted overpriced unsanitary food truck food, I would have ordered some. Next time just say sorry and take accountability. Even more reason to not come here. Also, none of the restaurants in Elk Rapids are "mouth watering" lmao. We looked at all of them and they did not look appetizing at all or were closed with weird hours. Lol don't come here.

Great Cider and beer of course! WARNING; really greasy taco truck onsite. Don’t eat at the taco truck unless you are close to a toilet or I guess your drank too much and don’t care. Maybe that’s why it’s so bad when you’re sober. The rice and pork is the most disappointing, everything is pre- mixed. Cider and staff is the best…tacos not so awesome!
