Fried chicken was tasty, peppery. Fries not good, especially for $24 for fries and a Philly cheese steak….this is standard bar food and overpriced. I would try the pizza or go up to Arts in Glen Arbor for better sandwiches and burgers.
We vacationed in Empire in July, 2025. We read the reviews and thought we'd try it. We ate on a weekend around 6:00 pm. We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated because they were packed (good sign). Typical small town eatery. We ordered pizza which has a garlic parmesan crust - very good. Service was a little slower because they were so busy, but I would recommend them for the pizza for sure. The other good we watched them bring out looked pretty good too.
Stopped by here on our last day in the area. Food was good, but for 3 people it was very expensive at $90 with tip. That was 1 appetizer, 2 sandwiches with no sides, kids chicken fingers, and 3 soft drinks. All menu items are a la carte except the kids menu. I got the Cubano, which was good, but it was $17 with no fries or anything. Back home I have a local, authentic Latin place where i can get the same sandwich for $8. Juliette was a good server, though. Very attentive and polite.
