Didn’t see Beyond Burger on the menu, though I didn’t ask since I’d already had two in the past 24 hours of camping! It took work to find an option as the entrees that featured the Veggie Cake had non-vegan elements. Worked through server to figure out I could do a salad with the Veggie Cake as a topper.
We stopped at friendly joes with too high expectations with it having relatively good reviews and what seemed to be plenty of food variety options with having our kids with us. But sadly we left very disappointed. The staff and environment were great. the food was that comparable to cafeteria food, yet the prices reflected that of a much better quality meal. Paying $20+ for a small salad and adding grilled chicken you would expect more than what appeared to be frozen bagged chicken you could pick up at a local Walmart. The “famous burgers” that were fresh grinded every day left our son with a terrible stomach ache, and Kraft Mac and cheese for kids was dry and hard. I was hopeful for a better outing here on our vacation with kids and a decent meal but left feeling like we had been robbed having stopped at friendly Joe’s.
Stopped in for dinner. Menu prices are very high. $15.50 for a 1/3 pound cheeseburger only. No chips no fries ($6.00) additional. The cheeseburger was terrible. Tasteless and very greasy. My wife’s burger was partially burnt. When she told the server the response was “sorry about that”. We will never darken the doors of Joe’s Friendly Tavern again.
$18 for chicken sandwich with zero sides... understandable if it was an exceptional sandwich, unfortunately quite the opposite. Equivalent quality to a school cafeteria. Also was served this tomato...
Horribly overpriced, very barely average bar food.
Our server was fine enough although pretty slow. Two of the 6 meals were almost inedible (one burger with fried egg and both the burger and the egg were very underdone). Like rarer then rare and not even over easy. My biggest complaint is the hot sauce on the table was actually moldy!
Great burgers, their French Dip/French dip burger is awesome as well and is actually juicy and good (normally French dip sandwiches tend to be kind of dry and are overcooked to well done, not this one!). The tater tots were nice and crisp. Quick and friendly service, don’t let the humble exterior fool you as the food is very yummy!
Great food!
What a jewel in a quiet yet quaint little town. Food, service and atmosphere will have us coming back again.
Absolutely love this place! Food is phenomenal, staff are great, owner is really awesome!

Great food and beer. Robin, our server, was not a very friendly person but we got through it.
3 meal ready in 10 min and was delicious 😋 Thank you
We just had a delicious lunch at Joe's Friendly Tavern. Super friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend making a stop here for anyone looking for a good place to eat in the area.
Lovely place, really recommend trying the fried buffalo cauliflower if you are okay with spice. The autum special of honey apple grilled cheese is savoury and amazing too. Highly recommend the hot apple cider (alcoholic).
