Had a chance to visit with Phyllis, who still works a few days a week but has passed this wonderful restaurant, which has been in business for 50 years, on to her grandson. Very nice locally owned business. I had bacon, egg, cheese and tomato sandwich on rye for breakfast. It exceeded all of my expectations of a great sandwich for breakfast. Wish I lived closer so I could go often.
We were in town for a conference and ended up here after the other sandwich shop was closed. Totally chose it based on reviews and proximity. We got 2 sandwiches and the white chicken chili. Wow. The sandwiches were great. My husband had the club sandwich, and loved it. I had the grilled ham and Swiss on rye, with garlic aioli. Both sandwiches were very good. Then we had the chili.
