A favorite, popular restaurant in the Upper Peninsula; rated one of the best in all of Michigan. Wonderful food and bakery. Favorites are Swedish pancakes, homemade soups, limpa bread, breakfasts, daily weekday specials.
Ten dollars for a fried egg sandwich with cheese and bacon? Two-and-a-half dollars for a glass of cola? (Probably includes free refills, though.) That seems a bit much. However. HOWEVER. The quality of the food? Oh. My. Goodness. Fresh-baked rye bread that's the perfect blend of stout and moist? Perfect eggs? Crunchy bacon? WE found the hostess/owner to be very accommodating and friendly, while mourning the fact that she needs to sell the place. The food was great! I had the pancakes with lingonberries, and they were the BEST Swedish pancakes I’ve ever had!
