“I've always liked shopping at Meijer. They have a great meat department and generally I can find things here easily. The staff is usually very helpful and even the cart guys are polite. I have as of recently had some disappointing experiences in the produce department however. Bagged lettuce spoiled the day after purchase still in date, rotting center cantaloupe, berries are not fresh, (maybe just not put them out at all),lots of other wilted or not fresh items but the returns are quick and the management is quick to right any problems and check out is quick and easy. I would have given another star except the produce is disappointing. I recommend this grocer. Especially for hard to find items.“

“Interesting little place in Escanaba. Not the fanciest place as the outside and inside feel a bit dated and cluttered. They had a nice selection of donuts and muffins. The woman at the counter was friendly and explained their options. Coffee was hot and my donut was good. A little heavy on the icing but easily resolved.“
“Ten dollars for a fried egg sandwich with cheese and bacon? Two-and-a-half dollars for a glass of cola? (Probably includes free refills, though.) That seems a bit much. However. HOWEVER. The quality of the food? Oh. My. Goodness. Fresh-baked rye bread that's the perfect blend of stout and moist? Perfect eggs? Crunchy bacon? This was easily the best fried egg sandwich I've had in a long time.On top of that, the staff were super-duper attentive and very, very friendly! I don't think I've ever felt more welcome at an eatery!The place was delightfully decorated with a bunch of cool local crafts, too, like necklaces and block signs – all of which were for sale! And, of course, the service was really speedy! I barely had to wait, at all, before I was brought my sandwich! I felt like I was at a friendly relative's house or something!I highly recommend this place. As I implied, I feel like the prices could be a little lower… but, my-oh-my, was it worth it! Lovely place, delicious food, and fantastic people! I'll definitely be going back again!“
