Hereford & Hops Steak House And Brewpub

First timer on 12/30/24 and it was amazing❣️ Great food, service by Morgan, and the place a wonderful historical adventure in every room! Can’t wait to go back❣️

The Cod was uncooked rubbery and watery (frozen). The waitress was pleasant. Baked potato was great. Will not return. My guests fried Cod seemed to be less under done. Could used 30 seconds more as it did flake somewhat.

Hereford and Hops is a great Escanaba restaurant stop. They have an option to grill your own steak after 5 pm. We had the Walleye Friday special that was very good.

I recently visited Hereford & Hops Steakhouse and Brewery at 624 Ludington Street in Escanaba, MI. I was overwhelmed with its location in I believe was a hotel. The interior was beautiful and the bar itself was awesome..I ordered the cheeseburger and it was delicious. Many other choices to try. The beer made on site was awesome. Kudos to the brewmaster.

I have been dining at Hereford & Hops off and on for the past 20 years, and I can't remember a time I haven't enjoyed this place. Over the years the menu has changed quite a bit, but overall, the great service has stayed quite consistent in this old but good brewpub.

Our last experience (September 4, 2024) left us wanting to return. My wife had the 20 oz (she loves leftovers!), and it was grilled to her liking. The quality of the cut was spot on, the Mac & Cheese was delicious, and her side salad fresh and visually appealing. I had the Smokehouse Mac & Cheese. Definitely want more of that!

Our waitress, what a sweet gal; she is great at her job. Polite, friendly, and professional; we look forward to being seated in her section, again.

Give Hereford & Hops a try. Sometimes it's not about the price but about a memorable night out. (With a martini or two)

The food and service far exceeded my expectations. Jess is amazing! Great menu with great prices. I had the " Italian panini " my wife had "the Frisco melt". Both were unbelievable. There's 8 or 9 beers on tap that they brew, and several NA beers outside the typical bar beers. I would rate this higher if there was another star to add. Definitely will be back and I can't wait!

Ordered the Irish Nachos (best corned beef) and 1/2 rack of ribs. Both were tasty.
.Loved the blue cheese salad dressing. Our server was cheerfully and attentive. We were impressed that the staff worked as a team, clearing dishes as needed.

I was very disappointed in the pan fried walleye and pan fried perch tonight. Over priced and under cooked. I won't be going back anytime soon.

My husband & I had a wonderful meal. Our server was friendly and prompt to help in any way. This is our first time in the area. If we happen to come this way again we will definitely add eating here to our to do list.

We come to Escanaba at least once a year for a horse show and have always eaten at H&H at least once when we visit. We heard about the change in management and wondered how our next visit would be. We were very happy to find the food was still excellent as well as the service and of course the best beer in town.

We have been going to H&H for many years and always enjoyed the food. We heard of new management at H&H so didn’t know what to expect. We we very pleased with the quality of the food and of course their beer. All 6 of us at our table give a thumbs up. We are going back tonight.
