I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the service. The waitress was great. The food however was sub par.. 5 of us went after work, helped ourselves to free popcorn. I hate to complain because it was free, but it looked like old burnt popcorn was mixed with the new. Blech. We saw the trash can and dumped it. Some of us ordered the hot dog special, which was fine. Two of us ordered salads. They looked amazing, BUT, it was filled with just lettuce on the bottom. The meat and cheese were tossed on top. Nothing was mixes in the middle. Some of us had cocktails, and one had a can of soda, which was 3$ for the can. That was a bit much. It's a neighborhood place, not the greatest, not the worst.

My son 17-year-old son and I stopped in on a Friday night to get a bite and I have to say that they were busier than it looked from the outside. We were able to get a nice spot to sit near a window at a high-top table. The waitress was friendly and quick to get us some sodas. Our food was decent and fairly priced but the atmosphere was laid back and enjoyable.

If you want honest, I’ll give you a honest review. Gave 1 star because there isn’t anything lower. Used to really like this place until tonight. Just had a fish sandwich and honestly it is one of the most over priced meals anyone could have. It was like one and a half fish sticks on a bun with some lettuce. The bun and lettuce were good.In today’s world with inflation I can understand some of the issues establishments are having but……really. $9.95 for 1.5 fish sticks, a bun , some lettuce, and some chips? Really? Never going back unless someone makes me. This place was really good at one time. The other 5 people with me said the same thing about their meal. It sucks big time.
The oldest bar in Essexville. The owner even let me tour the basement. The staff is amazing. Especially Rebecca and her man is super cool. Order the perch if you’re there on a Friday night!
