If you love cold food served by incompetent staff then this is your dream restaurant. I've been getting food from this place for over 40 years and today was the last day. I'll never go here again. Used to be a great place, but since 2020 like so many other places, Bates has let the quality of their staff drop while raising prices to ridiculous rates. All done with Bates crapburgers.

Came back here after 24 years and the food is just as good as I remember. The absolute best deal you will ever find with incredible burgers and chili with oyster crackers in a cute diner counter setting. The person next to me suggested asking for the secret sauce for the burger and it was delicious!

In addition to the food, the staff is incredible and so kind! Mika made our visit and took great care of us!

Wish I lived in Michigan so I could come back to this place often. 1000% recommend

Bates has the best sliders. Nothing fancy, just good service and great grub.

Parking: Parking is limited, but sufficient given it's a quick meal. It can be tight for larger vehicles, especially in the livonia location
