Nice experience. Quaint downtown location. A little haughty. Good wines and ciders though. Prices were good too. Would recommend if you are just looking for a place to taste and buy. I think I read that there are tours available of the actual winery.

My future wife, Samantha, and I were there with our bacheloretteparty and Bert and Barb were fantastic! We all could not stop laughing and enjoying ourselves while listening to their stories and of course tasting all the delicious wines they have to offer. we even got to take home a personalized labeled bottle of wine! the Bad B's (that's what I'm calling them) Barb and Bert had amazing customer service and kept the whole group on the edge of their seats! the atmosphere was perfect and they gave us a great idea to come back for our one year anniversary and we just may do that. Thanks and cheers to Barb and Bert!

A few weeks ago, we went to Saugatuck tasting room on Saturday morning. Not busy yet, lady who poured talked a lot and told us she had a favorite in every catagory. We picked out a couple we liked and decided to get them Sunday on our way out of town. SO glad we waited! We were planning a dinner for family after a wedding and needed some help with wines. We must not have sounded too sure of our choices because the lady there, Carol, started asking us questions. We told her our mission, She said "We have to talk". My wife giggled. We were "forced" to do a tasting and with her guidance we tried several wines we would not even have considered! And we bought most of them. Very intuitive lady! For about 20 minutes we talked food, seasoning, wine and recipes! We don't live locally. Thanks to Carol and Fenn Valley wines we looked like we knew what we were doing and impressed our family! Thank You !!

The private picnic was PHENOMENAL! The scenery was breathtaking. The attention to detail was remarkable. I loved how well the charcuterie board paired with the wine. The food was both beautiful and delicious. I would absolutely recommend this event to anyone in the area. Our hostess was friendly, welcoming, and professional. It's easy to see she loves what she does and takes pride in her work.

I was not impressed with this tasting.Usually you are presented with individual pours on a tray from your selection. This was one glass used over and over. Sometimes our glasses were rinsed with the next pour, some were wiped with a towel sitting under the bar and some were never rinsed and just poured. I think the way it was presented deterred me from liking any wines and purchasing. Hope this can be improved.

We had an excellent experience at Fenn Valley. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Explained all the wines and made good suggestions based on our likes/dislikes. Would purchase again from them!
We come here every year to purchase wine when we are in town visiting family. The associate was extremely friendly and helpful even while doing a tasting for another couple.

A group of us who live and work in Muskegon and Grand Haven went to Saugatuck on Saturday. We were 1 of 3 groups tasting and have never had so much fun!!! Everybody was talking back and forth then someone asked the lady pouring a question. (I think her name was Carol) This turned into a long question and answer session and she could answer everything we asked! We thought we had her stumped on the last one but she had an answer! We had so much fun and learned a lot!!

The two of us went up to Michigan for the day from Indiana to check out Saugatuck. We stopped by to try some wines and they had a table for us right away, just no personalized tasting which we were alright with. Their wine list had a wide selection from what I remember. However, we didn't like a single wine we tried. We each did the sampler of 7 wines and tried each others, but still couldn't find any that we'd want to buy. Disappointed to say the least. :/ wouldn't go running back

I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND FOR YOUR EFFORT TO EDUCATE YOUR TEAM.ORIGINAL POST:Misleading and embarrassing military veterans is the reason for the 2-star review. The venue and host were nice. The wine was good. I bought two bottles.The 3-star reduction is because the tasting menu states there is a 10% “veteran discount”. When I checked out to purchase my bottles I informed the lady that I am a Marine Corps veteran. I served 8 years total, 5 active and 3 inactive.The lady asked for my military ID. I told her I do not have a military ID. I was honorably discharged in 1998. It is unlawful to retain military ID after the end of active service unless disabled or retired. All I have is a DD-214 in my home safe.The lady said they require military ID because lots of people claim to be veterans. LISTEN, a “veteran discount” which is what you advertise, is for people who left active service. Please modify your discount to read, “Active Military Discount” if you wish to exclude veterans. A veteran and active duty military are different status.You embarrassed the heck out of me when I purchased my bottles because you made me look dishonest at the register. This happened 2 months ago. The reason I am writing this now is because I felt the embarrassment again when opening your wonderful Traminette.Respectfully submitted.
