“I think happystance might be my favorite place on earth, let me tell you why. First of all, Katie (the owner) and her staff are some of the most welcoming people in the world, I am convinced. They are all great with all ages. They can have conversations with me as an adult who’s starving for human interaction after spending most days with small children, but also comfortably joke and play with the kids. The food is straight up phenomenal. Even just a simple 2 egg breakfast is somehow just significantly better than it should be. But there’s also so many creative and unique options to make your breakfast/lunch a little more *bougie*. If you have kids, the staff will ensure it’s a special visit for them. They have a snack when they sit down, there’s markers and toys and stuff to look at. There’s enough to do that the kids won’t be insane, meaning if you DON’T have kids, this will still be an enjoyable place for you to dine. All in all, happystance is the best and if you don’t visit while you are in town, or regularly as a local, you’re missing out. 10/10 obviously would recommend.“

“This place is worth it! This is not a winery but has a tasting room with fantastic, reasonable wines to taste. The staff is so nice. Then you can wander and look at some fantastic art while drinking wine. If museums offered wine to wander, I would visit all the museums!! Wish we caught the guy's name doing the tastings. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining.“

“Be nice there are younger people who work here . Probably their first job . Very cute concept. Plenty of outdoor seating(picnic tables) Prices are cheaper than most restaurants downtown. A little slower than i thought it would be . I did order online to got there & my order wasn’t ready yet in which. They explained why and made up for it. They do charge a small fee for ordering online. Super sweet staff. Although I do believe my sandwich had the wrong cheese . It was still decent I mean it is a grilled cheese shack not a 5 star bouji restaurant . If you want something simple & quick for the most part. They do have corn hole boards as well. I’d definitely come here if you have little ones who can’t sit still in a restaurant. Small variety . But it’s a grilled cheese. If you have a bigger order prepare to wait .“

“Even though we're 2 1/2 hours away, this is in our regular rotation. Great beer, one of the best burgers anywhere, and good service. My wife is a huge fan of their Blueberry Lemonade Shandy, and we've never had a bad meal here. Love the patio, also.“

Eric, Donna, and Diamond went above and beyond to make our visit with our fur baby Jaxon Bleu comfortable, inviting, and beyond expectations. The food is incredible. “We are in Saugatuck on vacation and have eaten here three times because it simply is the best place we’ve found to eat in Saugatuck. Food is fresh, creative, and so tasty. The Mediterranean couscous salad and Brussel kale Caesar are beyond delicious. The Maui sandwich was superb. Today my hubby got the burger and said it was the best burger he has ever eaten. The wait staff were professional, friendly, and attentive each time we dined there. This is a must try in Saugatuck. In a sea of restaurants serving the same tired menus, Pumpernickels is unique and delicious.“
