Was a hit when we had our vacation there that we went there twice, great food but my favorite are the country fries with the tastiest ranch! Neat art for sale all around and great service:)

Hands down my favorite restaurant. The owner Dawn, is so talented. The restaurant is nestled in an art gallery with pottery all around and artwork on the walls. The tables are large wood planks and all of the food is served on Dawn's pottery. I ate the Gorgonzola mushroom pizza and my husband got the Brisket Panini with coleslaw. I have never ordered anything I didn't love. This place is a gem.

Root Cafe is a hidden gem in Fennville. The next door neighbor (Salt of the Earth) seems to get the attention, but Root has a great selection and eclectic ambience. I am hooked on the Earth Bowl salad. My family has ordered other items and were equally pleased. You order at the counter and a server brings the food out to your table. I plan on going back again soon - we have only begun to experience the full menu.

This is such a fun and unique Cafe. Dining surrounded by interesting art. The food is always excellent. Recently the menu has changed and expanded and they now have a wine bar. You can't go wrong with this place. For salads and flatbreads are excellent!
Vegetarian options: You can order sandwiches or salads without eggs or meat. They do have a very good campanata sandwich

I’m visiting from Illinois wanting to support local Michigan businesses. My family recommended Root Cafe and I had an interesting experience… I asked for a 16 oz ICED caramel latte with almond milk and I received a hot latte. I then told them “I’m sorry I asked for iced” and they proceeded to put the hot latte in a cup of ice. The hot milk melted all the ice making my latte watery and warm. I also asked for a blueberry muffin (which it was really good) the cashier ran out of singles they stuck their hand in the tip jar and didn’t sanitize or wash their hands and handed me my muffin. I’m sad I got this experience I’m always excited to try new coffee shops.

I never right Google reviews but the food was just so good and we are pretty picks on where we eat and the surpassed all expectations. It was very fast and had live music. The milkshake was amazing and as well was the pancakes, Japanese pancakes, Pho, and brisket flatbread.
