Downtown Fennville is cute, one block long and all restaurants. The restaurant is a refurbed brick with new wood touches. Lots of vegan items in a smaller menu. Unique approaches on the included proteins. They bake their own bread and include many hardy types. If you like chewy bread this is your place. The food is hearty and tasty, but not fancy. Lastly, the service is very friendly and aims to please.

Absolutely Perfect in every way. Our server was very knowledgeable and very friendly and informing. Our dinner was amazing, everything from our appetizer to the main meal. If we lived closer we would eat here more often but unfortunately we are 2/12 hours away. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area. A+

I would actually give this like a 3.5 star. I got the Ribeye and cocktail. I loved my cocktail and the Ribeye itself and fries were good but the shrimp and mushrooms didn't add to the dish. I would go again and try something different and revisit my review

Parking: I only said somewhat difficult because parking wasn't available in the front or on the block. We didn't park very far, like around the corner

The entire meal was excellent and the main course was cooked just as we asked. The vegetables that accompanied the main course were done perfectly. The bread platter is well worth ordering. I had fig leaf ice cream for dessert. The server explained how it was prepared since I assumed it was fig ice cream. It was fig leaf and it was very unusual and good.

Our server Kristi made our perfect meal even better. She is an amazing asset. So funny, so knowledgeable, so talented. I hope she sees this because she is the best. We are still laughing at a phrase she told us.

What a fantastic dining EXPERIENCE we had at Salt! I specify experience because it was so much more than just a meal. Esthetically, the environment and look of the food and drinks is so enjoyable. We were served by Kristi and I feel like calling her a server or a waitress is so below her. She was so enthusiastic and passionate. We enjoyed her presence so much! The food was phenomenal and we had the pleasure of meeting the chef. My favorite was the home-made pasta. All the from-scratch ingredients were amazing and so fresh. We were treated to some sweet corn ice cream and fig leaf ice cream. Bizzare, right? I would never have thought to order them but WOW. They were delicious!! Such a fun and adventurous dining experience. I only wish we lived in the area and weren't just visiting, because we would absolutely return numerous times.

Expensive, food is only ok. I didn't like my short rib pizza, too greasy.

Food was good, service was okay, but the prices were pretty high, $23 for a 12” pizza. We knew that though and were willing to pay a little more for the advertised quality. But when the bill came there was an added fee of almost $7. Assuming it was the credit card fee, we paid cash. It wasn’t. We were told it was an added charge because the price of most ingredients had gone up and the owners decided to keep the prices lower on the menu and just add an additional fee on the end of every ticket. We were not told anything in advance about the price increase or added fee! We will never be back and do not recommend!
