I came in from out of town for an open mic . This place had magic. The staff, was friendly and accommodating . Very fun family atmosphere and I even got to play with Wally and met a bunch of cool folks!

We had the worst service I've ever had in my life. We sat down right away, our waitress finally came over after 10 minutes. 5 minutes later she sets our drinks down and walks away. Another 10 minutes she finally takes our order. 25 minutes later, still no food. I notice multiple tables have come in after us have gotten food. I finally flag her down. We were close to the kitchen and it appears she never put our order in. You think she would've noticed we had no food. I order a chicken strip basket with onion rings. I get served a basket of onions, and am told my strips are coming. I touched my onion rings, they were ice cold. That was it. We sat there waiting for 50 minutes to be served cold food! We walked out, first time in my life.
There are so many options, especially in this economy, avoid this place.
We will never be going back here. I'll be giving The Lodgd my business.

It was obvious someone forgot our order. I ordered a chicken strip basket with onion rings. I was brought a basket of onion rings and told my strips were on the way. They brought no food for my husband. I touched my onion rings, they were ice cold. I stood up and said I'm not paying for cold food. We informed her and left. I've never walked out of a restaurant in my life. We were ignored for 50 minutes while every other table got food. Maybe because we don't live in Fennville. But I have many options in South Haven, Saugatuck and Holland other than this place, especially in this economy. Do not go here.

I met a friend at Hoke not Inn on Friday afternoon. The whiskey sour I had was excellent, but the cheese quesadilla we shared was very, plain and there was literally nothing in there but cheese—I couldn’t taste any other spices or flavors. We asked them to add chicken so there were cubes of cooked chicken breast added, but again, no spices. They had chopped onions, black, olives, and lettuce, and tomatoes with salsa on the side and sour cream, but it still wasn’t a very tasty dish.
The atmosphere was rather dark indoors and on the porch since it was raining and they had not removed the screens from the outside of the windows, you couldn’t see out but it was at least a little bit brighter.
The truly bright spot of the experience was our server, Thomas. He was friendly and attentive and kindly laughed at my jokes.
So overall, it was not my favorite place to eat in the Fennville area, but the service was very very good.

This restaurant may be a bit off the beaten path and may not look like much from the outside, but it was one of the best places I have visited in a while. The service was very good and the food was wonderful. Exposed log beams and a somewhat dark main dining room make thus feel like a place you might find in the far northern parts of Michigan. However, there is an additional room built from glass reminiscent of a greenhouse, which is very cozy and unique. The burger was one of the better ones I have had recently. The meat was good quality and the bun was fluffy and toasted. The fries were also very good! If you are in the area and are looking for some good quality food without the frills, this is an excellent choice and worth traveling a bit out of the way to visit.

I frequented this place back during 2018/19 and the aftermath of COVID while I lived in that area. When I came down that way during a trip last summer, I forgot just how good the food was here. Especially the perch. My god their perch is probably the best on the lakeshore, hands down. The service here is also superb.
The food was mediocre and the service was slow. The pop tasted horrendous. Not sure if it was the ice or what but it didn’t taste right. Nothing really to write home about. Only reason I gave a 3 star was because the food was at least edible.

A friend recommended this spot. We both had side salads, lettuce was all fluff and partly rotten soggy brown My husband ordered a Bacon cheeseburger & onion rings The rings were ok, the burger was a hockey puck awful bun burned I ordered the Perch Sandwich my bun was grilled on the flat top and was black & crispy...the bottom of the bun was wet WATER I ended up eating just the perch IT WAS VERY GOOD We didn't get a visit from the server until we were 1/2 into the meal
