I came in from out of town for an open mic . This place had magic. The staff, was friendly and accommodating . Very fun family atmosphere and I even got to play with Wally and met a bunch of cool folks!

I met a friend at Hoke not Inn on Friday afternoon. The whiskey sour I had was excellent, but the cheese quesadilla we shared was very, plain and there was literally nothing in there but cheese—I couldn’t taste any other spices or flavors. We asked them to add chicken so there were cubes of cooked chicken breast added, but again, no spices. This restaurant may be a bit off the beaten path and may not look like much from the outside, but it was one of the best places I have visited in a while. The service was very good and the food was wonderful. Exposed log beams and a somewhat dark main dining room make thus feel like a place you might find in the far northern parts of Michigan.
