We used to adore this place. But that was years ago. Now it has fallen into an average at best Thai place that wants everyone to tak out their food. Several of the booths are filled with styrafoam containers and there is no wait staff. Plus the food was bland and the curry sauce scarce. And they clearly are not using fresh veggies for the most part.
I always get the Pad Thai. delicious and very large portions and very reasonably priced menu.
Love the PAD SE'EWEW

I've eaten a lot of great Thai food, and I think this is one of my new favorite places. The food is fantastic, some of the best I've eaten. Cooked very well, seasoned very well, and actually quite spicy on their hottest spice level. All the vegetables tasted fresh. And the portions are quite generous.
It isn't full service; you go to the counter to order and pay for your food, and they set it on the counter in a to go container. Some people might not like this setup, but personally, I do like it; it's simple, and it means you can just leave when you're done. I also like that you can see the food being made, since the kitchen is in full view of the counter. It inspires a lot of confidence.
Next time I'm in Ferndale and looking for some good food, I'll definitely be back.

Seeing people open their Styrofoam containers and eat with plastic utensils in what used to be the dining room is just plain sad. I’ve been dining here for over 30 years. The food is still OK, but I miss going out to eat here. Quarantine for Covid ended several years ago, either offer real dine in service like you have since the 1980’s, or stop using your dining room as a stock room, it’s not even an inviting atmosphere for carry out anymore, having to navigate and stare at boxes like I am in some warehouse.

Food is very good with large portions, I normally get the Pad Thai with chicken . The prices are also very fair and when you call in your carry out it’s normally ready in less than 10 minutes

I had Seafood Combination exceeded expectations including having it ready on a Friday night ! I love Spicy Hot food, medium was bit too hot by my standards. Still delicious. I’m going with Mild Plus next time.

Horrible experience. Got our order completely wrong, gave vegetarians meat and then refused to give a refund. Offered “free spring rolls” as the option…can’t wait to have a spring roll for dinner.

I used to eat here in the mid 90s. But only when I wanted something fancier than Bangkok Express (the original & 1st Thai restaurant ever). IYKYK.
They don’t have dine in servers anymore, but the tables are still here, if you wanna eat here rather than take home.
The prices are standard and makes one feel mad old when I remember how much it used to cost.
Hot level is the same as I remember: it makes you sweat but the flavor is still there. This pain is worth it. Go Medium if you’re a basic B.
They don’t do the fried wing drum lollipops anymore, they’re basically just fried wings.
Its not longer a destination for me when I visit Detroit, but if I’m nearby, it’s great for nostalgia sake. Just not the same, especially minus the servers.

Good taste
Best around town. Our go to Thai.
Large amounts of food for a good price. Very quick. Taste was decent. I believe people love the price and quantity
