Barrel House is a popular restaurant in Ferndale offering a great dining experience. The staff is kind and personable, providing excellent customer service. The menu features a variety of dishes, including fish and chips, mac and cheese, wings, grilled cheese and soup, burgers, jerk chicken, and short rib sandwiches. The food is incredible, with many items standing out. The French Onion Breadstixs with French Onion Soup Dip were really good, and the Walleye breaded in Salt & Vinegar Chips was excellent, as were the shoestring fries. The Jerk Chicken Tenderloins with Pineapple stir fried rice was also enjoyed. The atmosphere is cozy, with a mix of tables and a long bar area. Beer and whiskey are available, and the service is always spot on. The cocktail menu is great, and the drinks are solid, though some reviews note prices are inflated, especially for drinks. The mezcal cocktail is a favorite. Barrel House is a good bar right on Woodward with open-air dining and plenty of TVs for sports fans. Food is good, with Tuesday half-off burgers with a drink purchase. Karaoke nights are also a fun option.
