I went to pick up food from here today. We got the Arroz Chaufa. One with beef and one with beef and chicken.We have gone here lots of times and it’s always been so good. But it’s probably been about a year since we have gone here.And it was Awful.The beef was dry, flavorless, chewy.The rice was flavorless, and just eh.The vegetables were definitely frozen and microwaved. Peas were soggy and overcooked.It wasn’t good. Honestly chipotle might be better, and if you’re in the Royal Oak area, we all know the Chipotle’s around here are terrible….We also got the maduros Fritos, I’d give them a 3/5. They weren’t caramelized as much as they should have been, and they weren’t as soft as they should have been either.All in all, it was pretty disappointing honestly and we probably won’t be back.I’m very upset because I really did love Culantro. But whatever happened tonight changed my mind completely.

Simply phenomenal, chicken was hot and flavorful. The plantains tasted great too nice and crispy. The chicken sandwich is what my partner got, she loved it. Will be coming back!

The chicken at this restaraunt is amazing, so glad we stopped by. Tender, juicy, skin was crispy- so good. My son had a beef stir fry which he said was great. Wish they served alcohol, other than that, amazing and will be back.

We ordered empanadas, Seco a la Norteña and Lomo Saltado. The Seco was really good and well served, the Lomo Saltado seemed to have less meat but was tasty. I’d never tasted chicha water and I loved it even though I don’t usually drink water that has sugar. Overall it was a good experience.
