Detroit BBQ catered my wedding 2 months ago, and although this is way overdue I’m writing this review because I am still in awe at their high standard of service, professionalism, and overall quality. I had 3 trucks in total at my wedding and I didn’t hire a wedding coordinator, so for the months leading up to the event I was working very intimately with the manager and owner of Detroit BBQ. I basically had her on speed dial and she was one of the most pleasant, supportive, and helpful people I had the joy of working with throughout the entire process. When the truck arrived, the other owner quickly came and introduced himself, letting us know that they were ready for service whenever we were. They were the most popular truck there and they were able to feed close to 100 people with impressive speed. No one was left waiting too long, no one was hungry, and everyone RAVED about the quality of the food. I truly cannot say enough good things about Detroit BBQ. They’re wonderfully kind people who know their shit in the kitchen. My husband and I look forward to supporting this truck for years to come.

I just had Detroit BBQ company cater a large networking event I had. I had had their barbecue at a food truck at a conference in Detroit and so decided to use them for my upcoming networking event.
They were amazing to work with, and the food was fantastic. Lori was my point of contact for ordering and she was really responsive and great with communication throughout the entire process leading up to my event, which made my life so much easier. The day of my event, Matt Smith was the caterer on site and he was fantastic! He took great care of my guests and was really helpful to me as the host of the event. Professional and courteous and delivered great food! Everybody was raving about it. Definitely recommend them!

Detroit BBQ catered my backyard wedding yesterday. They had everything set up when we were back from the ceremony. Every single guest shared the same response, the food is so good. He was so nice, chatted with guest, we even had a few left overs & we had everyone show up!

Had my Mac 'n cheese with cornbread at Redford Township Library. I was hungry but was only able to eat half of serving. Huge portions and only $8! I highly recommend.
Vegetarian options: Mac 'n cheese and cornbre
Parking: If you book them for your office or see them at your local library, then you park in the lot there!

We had food catered for a party and everything was great. We got pulled pork and chicken, green beans, baked beans, mac and cheese and corn bread. Everything was delicious and all of our guests commented on how great the food was.
Poor communication- not very responsive. Would not recommend this company at all for catering a party….wasn’t even sure they were going to show up until the last minute.
