Afternoon tea is wonderful here. They truly make every dish a work of art. I love the decor and the food was absolutely fantastic. They were careful to ask about allergies and happy to accommodate with last minute changes. Love this place!

My fashion club went for Afternoon Tea and we love this place! The food is good, though not huge portions. We had a few pots of tea for the table. Great desserts and good vegetarian sandwich options. The service is always great and reasonably priced.

This tea house in Ferndale, MI has delicious scones, soup, salad, finger sandwiches (cucumber with dill, bruschetta with tomatoes and cheese, chicken salad on apple slice, turkey with cheese on croissant) and desserts (crunch cake, fruit), as well as a wide variety of teas. The atmosphere is cozy, inviting, and has peaceful atmosphere, and the food is presented well. They have excellent customer service and are also attentive and friendly.

OMG!!!!!! Listen, this place gave my mom and I an unforgettable experience! The food was AMAZING and the service was EXCELLENT and TOP TIER!!! The music they played was relaxing classical. The restroom was very clean! My mom and I felt like we had just left a spa! We will be back with more family members especially since my mom has been doing tea parties with my sisters and I growing up.

Had a team lunch for work here and everyone had a great time. The Purple Door Tearoom team room were flexible and accommodated some last minute changes and a tight frame despite our big group.
Absolutely loved our visit today! The space is beautiful and cozy, with such a peaceful, homey vibe. It felt like stepping into a little fairytale in the middle of Ferndale! My girlfriend and I got the Orchid tea which included each of us choosing our own pot of tea, 3 little sandwiches, and a dessert, and everything was both stunning and delicious. I got the Green Spiced Chai and my partner got the Butterfly Pea tea, and we got two little blueberry scones when they came that were still warm. Both were delicious! (The Butterfly one changed colors from blue to pink!) The sandwiches were an English cucumber sandwich with dill dressing on white bread, chicken salad on an apple slice, and a tomato bruschetta flatbread. It looks small but it was actually so filling I could barely finish my lemon bundt cake… but I did because it was too good to not! You can tell a lot of care goes into the details here, from the presentation to the flavors to the atmosphere. It was such a perfect spot for a little date. We’ll definitely be back!

Took my 2 grandchildren for the tea party experience 11 and 13 and they both really enjoyed themselves. They were a little nervous at first sort of the bull in the china shop scenario but they got the hand of being gentle and careful with all the fine china and glass and had a good time. The tea and lunch was very good and quite tasty. The service was excellent and very fun.
