The Soho Bar is the place you wanna be. It’s a cross mix of tons of different kinds of people who make Detroit great! The waitstaff can handle the massive crowds they get and they quite often host karaoke here with some very talented singers.

Went in with my friends to get a drink and the bar tender was so rude said they weren’t in the mood because of what happened to one of her costumers. I’ve been working the serving industry for 6 years and had so many thing happen during a shift but you CANNOT treat ur guest rude and say you don’t have the time or energy for them I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. This is my 2nd time being there with the same bartender and wasn’t a good experience at all. As someone in the serving industry I hate to leave this review but I’ve never experienced this. I will not be coming back just because of this.

Saw my Fav Geronimo the other night ✨🪩 such a highlight of the night, wish he could’ve been my bartender would definitely love to make this my new spot with my dear friends Wondering why he’s not a bartender Hospitality is amazing very accommodating !

While I usually enjoy the kind staff, I feel obligated to share this so other queer/AFAB customers can be aware. Time before last I went, my girlfriend was repeatedly harassed by the same straight cis man I watched harass many others, in front of the physical bar/staff and it affected our evening heavily, despite loving karaoke and seeing many friends. My last evening there, I was harassed by another straight cis man (he made sure to tell me that), who I asked to leave me alone several times. My girlfriend alerted security, nothing was done and the situation escalated. Unfortunately I don’t feel safe at this gay bar as me and those close to me have been harassed by straight men multiple times, and won’t be returning.
This place needs BOUNCERS to keep out TRANSPHOBES.
ONLY GO IF SOMEONE CAN PROTECT YOU.
I was attacked here, but a biker protected me. It could use some work before I'm safe hanging out. Lots of liars yelling and attacking us.
It should be our place, but it's not yet. I wanna give it another try later.
