They had a trans flag hung upstairs. I’m just trying to eat and have fun not be bombarded with that kind of stuff. Truly ruined the vibe.

The menu here is odd and it cost you $16 for a burger with no fries. Their food is expensive and it is not that great. They have french fries but they are thin and they are 6 to 7 for a handful. They give the appearance of them coming out of a bag like the bag was full, but the bag was never full. They have odd vegan choices, which many people in my party did not eat. Chili is about $7-$9 a bowl. They serve cocktails here, but everything is totally expensive. They do play music bingo, but overall it's not that great

I usually don’t leave reviews but, I feel compelled to write about how awful the brunch experience was at Corner Bar. The food was akin to a continental breakfast. Nothing was seasoned, and the hash browns came out barely cooked. The sausage patty looked like it came straight out of a warming tray, and the bacon was nearly inedible. Additionally, our server was on her phone while we waited for 10 minutes for our bill after completing our meal. Given the prices on the menu, I expected much more.

Incredible bar, love throwing axes here, and Karaoke on Wednesdays with Marissa hosting has given me some incredible memories and some of the best nights I’ve had. Love the Corner!

I love the corner. The staff and patrons are like family to me. Since i moved to Ferndale, the corner has been a place that I go when i want to feel a sense of community. To be specific, the karaoke community here is unlike anything I have ever experienced. Marissa, who has now become a dear friend, has always made me feel welcome, whether it be behind the DJ booth or upstairs at Detroit Axe. She has built a foundation at the corner that I think would be much more flimsy without her. Wednesdays are my favorite day of the week and I cant wait to karaoke every Wednesday!

The bingo was a really enjoyable experience! It was so much fun to participate in the games and spend time with everyone. However, the breakfast we had was a bit of a letdown. The biscuits were cold and the gravy had a chewy texture. Unfortunately, the bacon was also not as crispy as I prefer.

The most activities to do in a bar I have ever seen. Can't wait to go back

Wednesday nights after Choir Practice at the FERNDALE First United Methodist Church- Debbie David & RUBY! Love to go to The CORNER Restaurant & DetAXE to have food, drinks, and sing KARAOKE at the best venue in Fabulous FERNDALE! Marissa has the best group of Singers anywhere in the Detroit Metro Area. The food is amazing and the Bar is awesome too. Come hear me sing either at. The Church or at The CORNER!

Was disappointed by this place. Everything took way too long. Drinks at 20 mins, food at 90 minutes. Our server was nice, but the place was not busy enough to have that kind of wait. Thankfully the free bingo brunch kept us occupied. It was also pretty high prices for small (unseasoned) portions.

Really loud, pizza was pretty good but absolutely not worth what they charge. Cauliflower side under seasoned and flavorless and cost a ridiculous amount for what it tasted like. Loud but relatively fun atmosphere.

We visited The Corner for a Friday night out with our toddler, and it was such a great experience!

Our server Bisha (spelling may vary) was fantastic — friendly, welcoming, and very attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel right at home.

We arrived a little before 5 p.m. to beat the crowd, but by the time we left, the place was buzzing with energy.

Special shoutout to Chris, the Game Sommelier, who helped us pick a fun, classic game — Trouble — to enjoy with our daughter. They have an amazing selection of games for all ages and group sizes. Total nostalgia trip!

Food highlights:

Spicy Fries

Vegetarian Mushroom Burger

The Corner’s Chicken Sandwich

Mac & Cheese for Noa

Everything was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the cider and IPA beers.

Upstairs, they offer darts and axe throwing for an additional charge — perfect for date nights or larger groups looking for a bit of competition.

What we loved:
✅ Large selection of games
✅ Spacious layout
✅ Great food and drinks
✅ Outdoor seating
✅ Stroller-friendly space
✅ Friendly staff who were accommodating with kids

Noa’s rating: 4/5
She loved the games and her mac & cheese — though she thinks it could’ve used a little more seasoning! 😄

Things to note:

No dedicated kids’ menu, but they were flexible and made half portions for us

No changing table in the men’s restroom (there is one in the women’s)

Overall, The Corner is a perfect mix of family fun and grown-up enjoyment. We’ll definitely be back!
