Wednesday nights after Choir Practice at the FERNDALE First United Methodist Church- Debbie David & RUBY! Love to go to The CORNER Restaurant & DetAXE to have food, drinks, and sing KARAOKE at the best venue in Fabulous FERNDALE! Marissa has the best group of Singers anywhere in the Detroit Metro Area. The food is amazing and the Bar is awesome too. Come hear me sing either at. The Church or at The CORNER!

Was disappointed by this place. Everything took way too long. Drinks at 20 mins, food at 90 minutes. Our server was nice, but the place was not busy enough to have that kind of wait. Thankfully the free bingo brunch kept us occupied. It was also pretty high prices for small (unseasoned) portions.

Really loud, pizza was pretty good but absolutely not worth what they charge. Cauliflower side under seasoned and flavorless and cost a ridiculous amount for what it tasted like. Loud but relatively fun atmosphere.

We visited The Corner for a Friday night out with our toddler, and it was such a great experience!

Our server Bisha (spelling may vary) was fantastic — friendly, welcoming, and very attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel right at home.

We arrived a little before 5 p.m. to beat the crowd, but by the time we left, the place was buzzing with energy.

Special shoutout to Chris, the Game Sommelier, who helped us pick a fun, classic game — Trouble — to enjoy with our daughter. They have an amazing selection of games for all ages and group sizes. Total nostalgia trip!

Food highlights:

Spicy Fries

Vegetarian Mushroom Burger

The Corner’s Chicken Sandwich

Mac & Cheese for Noa

Everything was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the cider and IPA beers.

Upstairs, they offer darts and axe throwing for an additional charge — perfect for date nights or larger groups looking for a bit of competition.

What we loved:
✅ Large selection of games
✅ Spacious layout
✅ Great food and drinks
✅ Outdoor seating
✅ Stroller-friendly space
✅ Friendly staff who were accommodating with kids

Noa’s rating: 4/5
She loved the games and her mac & cheese — though she thinks it could’ve used a little more seasoning! 😄

Things to note:

No dedicated kids’ menu, but they were flexible and made half portions for us

No changing table in the men’s restroom (there is one in the women’s)

Overall, The Corner is a perfect mix of family fun and grown-up enjoyment. We’ll definitely be back!

I love this place, but the service is so slow. We waited 15 minutes after seating before I found someone (I guess not our server) to get us water. The food was great! The atmosphere can’t be beat! The service is always soooo sloooowwww! I have been here several times for brunch and was told it was newer so I haven’t written a review before. This was probably the 5th or 6th time the service was slow.

Only been here once and I had a great experience. I went there early, 7/730. I would say parking isn't the easiest, they're is a parking lot behind the establishment. It wasn't pack but later in the night I saw people having to wait (around 10). The food, there wasn't that many food options but the food wasn't bad. A lot of drinks, a lot of seats and a bunch of board games (like a library bookshelf size. There's axe throwing upstairs.

There's a lot, overall good experience. Servers were nice and the bathroom was clean.

A trendy bar with a wall of board games? Damn - what's a beer drinking nerd to do? Could have spent WAY more time there. Im questioning their tolerance to a Twilight Emperium set up or multi-day set up of Axis & Allies. Food is solid; service was great. I'm gonna head back again soon.

Went for the board games and will go back for the food, atmosphere, AND games. Went for a date night, just two of us, and it was super fun. Spent some time picking out the right games and even got table side service to help us learn the rules faster. Definitely recommend the visit.

A little pricey but good selection of food and drink. Plenty of creative and different vegetarian options to try! The craft beer selection is impressive but some of the pints run a litte high compared to other places in the area. There is a lot going on here but they seem to pull it off - bar, restaurant, games, axes, and more. Seems like you can find something for everyone here.
