The Fly Trap a finer diner

Our table ordered the chicken fried rice, the forager with sourdough toast, and the salmon burger with fries. My boyfriend said the salmon burger was a 5/5 and he really enjoyed it! My friend said the forager exceeded his expectations and was really nicely cooked. He also got a fresh brewed iced tea and really liked it. The coffee was also solid. I liked the chicken fried rice, but others at my table were less impressed by it. It has a vinegar taste and is a bit soggy and spicy (I really liked it though). Friendly service! Variety of items on the menu, too. Everything together was about $55. Glad we stopped by.

The best eggs ever! I can’t wait to go back to this spot for brunch. The food is definitely memorable. You’re going to want to go back

Updated: The Fly Trap, A Finer Diner, is easily one of my top favorite places to eat. I am always charmed by their thoughtful details, like the unique and rotating salt and pepper shakers at each table. The food here is consistently wonderful, always high-quality, and incredibly filling – you will often find yourself needing a take-out container! Do not miss their wonderful hot sauces, and the rotating jelly is always an unpredictable and delicious mystery. Beyond the amazing food, the staff truly stands out; every single person makes you feel incredibly welcome and well-cared for. I cannot recommend The Fly Trap enough!

The Fly Trap, a Finer Diner, is one of my all-time favorite spots! The food is consistently excellent, the service is great, and the atmosphere makes it easy to strike up conversations with fellow diners. While they're under old management, thankfully, not much has changed—it still has that same cozy charm. One of the little joys I look forward to is seeing which quirky salt and pepper shakers will be at my table. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get. Highly recommend this Ferndale gem!

Great food in large quantities. Great staff: pleasant, attentive, friendly. Parking needs a little pre-planning -- blame that on Ferndale not on Fly Trap.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in the city and not that expensive!

Sit at the counter for 5 minutes and no acknowledgement. My money is good anywhere. Deuces

Amazing food with some unique options! Their cooks are top notch. The serving staff are super nice and polite. Our server, Jesse, has exactly the kind of energetic, fun, and sincere personality one would hope to find in a waitress. Jesse is super nice and always checking on us. (They have the MOST AMAZING HOMEMADE HOT SAUCES, also available to purchase, called "Swat". The Blue labeled bottle is may favorite!) We Love This Place!

The wait staff & bartenders are the best part about this restaurant. They have a wide vegetarian selection, and their drinks are always good. In my experience, it doesn’t matter what I order, our server will ALWAYS come back and tell me what I order is out- I’ve come early in the day, later in the day, doesn’t matter. It’s to the point where I always choose at least 2 things I’d like to have, because I probably won’t get to have Plan A. Super weird, I’ve never had this problem at any other restaurant before. When the food does come, it’s usually just okay. I don’t think it’s worth the hype or the price.

Food was very good. And the service was excellent. The waitstaff was super friendly, to the point where their friendliness and enthusiasm was contagious and it put me in a great mood for the rest of my day. I should have tipped more just on that aspect alone. I highly recommend this establishment.

Some friends were in town to play a show & I had the pleasure of introducing them to The Fly Trap this past Thursday!! The atmosphere, the service and the oh so gloriously delicious food were all on point. Both vegans and non vegans were beyond impressed. Our server, Jessi M, is an absolute gem!!! (We love her!) The rest of the staff and even the patrons were so incredibly nice, too!!! Thank you for such an around wonderful experience!

I went to share with my family and the waitress treated us very poorly, in a bad mood and with a bad attitude towards us. There was no good quality service. I will not return to this place. Megan H was super rude .
