If I could give 6 stars for each category I would. The atmosphere is super warm and cozy. The staff are extremely hospitable and always quick to refill coffee. But it would be all for naught if the food wasn't tasty. Everything was cooked to perfection and the toast was from fresh baked bread. I don't live in the area but the next time I drive up to Northern Michigan, I would stop here on the way to and from.
From the moment I opened the screen door to go inside, I knew I was in for a treat. Very old school set up. Not very big. Food hit the spot. The music was low, but entertaining. And the service is outstanding. For me personally, the drive from Cadillac was worth it.
Super charming local bfast spot - couldn’t ask for a more authentic northern Michigan experience. Very good coffee/eggs/bacon breakfast with a wonderful pancake. The kind of place you end up talking with the folks around you. Highly recommend - easy stop on your way up/down 131. And the charming host/waiter didn’t hurt lol.
