Salute Special Events/ The Roc Restaurant & Wine Bar

Way too expensive. Great atmosphere, but the food is average at best. I ordered the scallop risotto, scallops were fishy, and rubbery. The risotto was a bland cheese sauce with undercooked rice. That dish was 56$. My father in law got the butternut squash ravioli, they presented him with 5, on a plate. Very oily, and they used brown sugar on the back of the ravioli, they tasted like a lousy oily pumpkin pie. My mother in law got the lamb lollipop pops, medium rare. They were well done. The flavor was pretty good, but for 5 little lamb shanks, $58. My wife and daughter split the 8 oz filet, it was a perfect medium-rare. It should taste well for $68 though, and that was ala carte. If you are gonna charge fine dining prices, they have to do better in my opinion. I would of rather of went upstairs to wiseguys and got a wood fired deluxe pizza...Just sayin..

We had the best time at the Roc this weekend. Best lasagna I’ve had in a long time, we were with a big group and everyone loved their entrees. Tiramisu was perfection, too, and excellent wine selection. Service was so friendly and attentive. Really cozy/intimate vibe. We went upstairs to Wizeguys for drinks after and had a great time there, too! Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

I was totally unimpressed, and will not be returning. First, it is way overpriced. Most of the food was at best, adequate. I had the risotto with scallops, which was extremely salty. The atmosphere was horrible. We couldn’t hear each other talk, partially due to the screaming children. The selection of beers was quite limited. Craft draft beer is available only upstairs. I would have given it zero stars if I could.

Wize Guys was wonderful to me and my dad tonight! A large party was reserved and all they had open were high tops, but he's a couple months out from a knee replacement and wouldn't have been able to get up. They accommodated us an brought up a low table so we could dine in. We got the Spicy Arrabiata pizza which was delicious. The Sierra Rose Blackberry Cider was also so good! Perfect place in the heart of Flat Rock, absolutely worth it!

Had the spicy Arrabbiata pizza and is was great, and the service was very good.

The Roc is a beautiful restaurant, great staff and food. A real gem in the Downriver community.
