The food is wonderful! Jerk, yams, plantains--all excellent. If you're looking for comfort food, this is made with love. I will be back for the curry and oxtail soon!

First, out of pure luck my husband and I were driving to McLaren when we pasted
“ALT Authentic Jamaican Jerk” We stopped in and the place was clean and so inviting. The service was impeccable. There are so many options on the menu. Everything is homemade and fresh! Her homemade Jerk sauce is even made fresh daily. Everything has so much flavor. One of the side dishes I got was the steamed cabbage. Never in my life did I think I’d say I can’t wait to go back for some more of that steamed cabbage! She said it was her grandmothers recipe. I bet everyone loved going to dinner at grandmas house back in the day. I’m not kidding when I tell you everything blew my mind. My husband and I went to Jamaica for our honeymoon. It has been some years since but I want to say these dishes were even better. You also get so much food! We tried the Jerk chicken, candied yams, steamed cabbage, fried plantains, Mac & cheese, red bean & rice and their homemade veggie patties. All was out of this world. Next time I’ll be trying their red snapper and cannot wait!

I wanted to post how good the food is because my daughters said it"s ATL authentic. But I arrived today with four other family members, around noon, I ordered oxtails, I was told we're out, my daughter ordered jerk, catfish, was told we're out, we ordered wings and was told we're out of all meats, we just have side. I probably will give them another try, but I was very disappointed. We drove from Saginaw..

Final had a chance to try the food. They did not have the full menu but what was the jerk chicken with red beans and rice was on point had a side of pantains and fries. Looking forward to coming back.

I am definitely a reviewer that believes that everyone should be praised in public and also provided an opportunity for growth.
The location was extremely clean upon entering. And the young men that serviced me were kind and very articulate.

Establishment 1-5: 5!

During my visit there was no menu up on the wall or on the multiple TV screens within the establishment. However, menus are available for review.

I am a vegetarian/ and most times vegan. After living in Atlanta many years I was very excited to see if they had the veggie patties, Unfortunately they did not?. (Even though they were listed on the menu).

I ordered a veggie plate that had plantains cabbage red beans and rice and yams.

Yams ?: 1-5 were a strong 4...just quite couldn't catch the butter or nutmeg, But good nonetheless.

Cabbage: 1-5 were a 3. If you are the kind of person that doesn't desire it a lot of flavor then this is for you. I saw very little bell pepper & onion And it was a bit bland.

Plantains: 1-5 were a 5. The plantains were cooked just right and were very flavorful. Not too hard, nor too soft.

Red Beans & Rice ?: 1-5 were a 3 1/2. The red beans and rice were okay ??

Lastly the presentation was a 4 1/2. The red beans & Rice ? , along with the plantains were place in an aluminum foil make shift cup. ?

hazardous possibilities a person would never want to puncture or tear off a piece of the foil leading to potential consumption.?

Overall, its adds a good bit of variety to our city! Give it a try.??

I really like her curry chicken and jerk chicken tacos. The read beans and rice taste good with the curry chicken. The music inside is nice and creates a nice atmosphere

This is the place is the best food around. If I had to recommend anything, it'd be the ox tail. The taste is out of this world. I can't believe more people aren't talking about this place. The staff are pretty helpful and are excellent cooks. I can't wait for my next visit to try their other fine delicacies.

Husband and I finally tried this place and were not disappointed! We got the whole mixed chicken, Mac & cheese, beans&rice and meat pie. Everything was super flavorful and we like all of it, but the dark meat and Mac was my favorite, while my husband loved the meat pie and rice and beans. The jerk sauce is incredible. Perfect amount of heat doesn’t overpower the flavors. Great service too! Owner and staff were super friendly, welcoming and made it a pleasant experience.
