Been here 2 times. Pass through the area on my route between central lake MI and brockway. Had the buffalo dinner. Buffalo is a type of fish similar to a carp and both times it tasted very fresh and was cooked right. Fine southern food. I also had a slab of ribs last time in and for sides I tried the mac and cheese, collard greens, and the baked beans all really good especially the collard greens. You can tell they cook them with plenty of ham hock or some other kind of bone so...
I'm working in flint and always smelled the bbq coming from this place. I got the catfish, Mac n cheese, Cole slaw, and corn bread. That catfish alone was okay, but once u put that hot sauce, that's when that thing hits hard. Cole slaw was good. The corn bread was bland and could be removed. Every bbq place I've been, and I'm from texas, the mac and cheese has been the biggest let down for me. In my eye I feel if your a BBQ joint, your Mac better be up...
f you’re looking for good food, this is the place! The food is absolutely delicious. I’m giving them five stars because the portions are generous and the prices are fair. The only downside was the free cornbread it was hard and a burnt, but maybe that’s why it’s free.
