We were told that this place makes Chinese food that is close to Empress of China, which is now closed. I ordered the princess chicken (spicy) and my wife got cashew chicken. Both were excellent. We also got the crab cheese rangoons. I wished they put more filling in them but they were tasty. The one drawback was no service for inside dining (seating only) since this place is takeout only. We would definitely be regular customers should they ever decide to open a full service...
I just recently found The Lotus Room, and I don't see myself going anywhere else for Chinese food. The drunken noodles are amazing, and the green beans are freaking amazing. I wasn't expecting green beans to be so amazing, but they really are the best. I have stomach problems, so I'm usually careful with takeout, but I've ordered from here several times now and I have not had any issues at all. First time getting food here and everything was 10/10. Will be coming here more often now that I've experienced it :) food was flavorful and saucy, egg drop soup is usually hit or miss for me but this was the best I've ever had!!!! Highly recommend trying at least once !
