I love this shop. You cannot use a credit or debit card here!! It is a great way to spend your cash, though! The bakery is quaint and beautiful on the inside. As a little girl, my mom would bring me in here for goodies. I love this bakery.
Hungry in Flint Michigan and needed to score some snacks. My in-laws recommended a close to home bakery, The Rye.Old school atmosphere with tin ceiling and wood display cases, there was lot of charm.We bought it all, everything, poppy seed, sesame, sea salt bagels, scones, vagabond pastry...We weren't far down the road before we tore into our goodies - and they were good!If you get a chance, stop in and try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Went in on a Friday afternoon, and while the selection was slim at that time, I was able to pick up some excellent desserts. They were more than fairly priced. It was a little dark in there, but the service was great. Cash only accepted, but luckily I had some.
