Grand Traverse Distillery Tasting Room

My friend Julie stopped in here, we were on vacation with our husbands and and our neighbors kid. Julie and I loved this place. Amy waited on us, she was GREAT!, very friendly and Very knowledgeable, she let us know what juices to mix with certain alcohols. If we ever make it back there again, we will definitely visit again! Awesome spot! We try to stop in when we’re in town. The gentleman (so sorry we neglected to get his name each time!!) is always so great! (He was working today- 8/29/25). Friendly service and very knowledgeable. Amburana is GREAT, he sold us a bottle and can’t wait to go get another from him! Tasting is a great value, make sure to stop in!

Stopped by yesterday and bought two bottles. Lady was super friendly. Went this morning to grab a couple more before heading home and what a difference a day makes. Different worker was super irritated. Apparently there was a bike race which took up too much parking for her liking. Someone needed a nap before coming to work

I visited the store with my wife and daughter to purchase some wine. Before buying, we requested a sample, and both my wife and I provided our IDs, as required by law. We each received one sample and enjoyed it, then asked to try a red blend before making a purchase.

Surprisingly, the staff member refused to serve a second sample, stating it was “against the law.” This is incorrect — Michigan law clearly allows up to two samples per person within 24 hours. It was disappointing to be given misleading information, especially in such a firm manner.

We chose not to argue and simply left without buying anything. A customer should be treated politely and with respect, especially when they are genuinely interested in making a purchase. A little courtesy goes a long way.

Nice place, great staff, good pricing. Wish the cocoa bean vodka came in a smaller bottle.

Such a fun place! Amy and Ian made our visit so great. The wines and cocktails were delicious. We wound up taking several bottles home with us to enjoy later. Thank you!!

Knowledgeable and kind staff. Hope to make the stop during every annual Frankenmuth trip to refill on local spirits!

This was such a fun experience, they already had premixed drinks as we were wine and spirit tasting. We tried the cocoa vodka with Creme soda and it was like a tootsie roll. Also their cherry vodka with lemonade is amazing. Coming from people that don’t drink vodka. Very friendly environment and get 4 tasting for $5. So so worth it!

Bought bottles we would have walked by (cocoa bean vodka) based on the tasting and advice from the bartender and don't get me started on the Old Fashions (to go!!) Great experience! Might even go back and try the wines today!

Wonderful place to taste a wide selection of spirits. The gentleman working was knowledgeable and entertaining. We had a great time and picked up a few great bottles. I highly recommend visiting there

Very friendly--Kayla helped my brother-in-law and I each to one of the 4-taste $5 flights. With the cherry and chipotle vodkas, I got a side taste of their suggested mixer, a lemonade with the cherry and a bloody mary mix with the chipotle. I also tried one of the rums & gins. All were very nice and the prices were not outrageous for "craft spirits". Forget about low pressure--there was no pressure. Just look around, see if you like anything. Super shop.
