We had high hopes since the cake looked delicious. My daughter was recently diagnosed with celiac & we were vacationing in Frankenmuth. I found Sugar high bakery online & thought ordering from there would be perfect. It was very dry, taseless & expensive. We ended up throwing half of it away. Nobody wanted a second piece.

The German Chocolate cupcake was slightly edible. The Samoa cupcake was awful and very disappointing since I love coconut. I threw the Samoa cupcake away after one bite! Yuck! What a waste of $4.75 per cupcake! Not sure how they ever won any kind of award. My friend bought the vegan cupcake with cinnamon which had to be retrieved from the back for her to purchase. She said that also was not that great. Thumbs down!

How can a triple chocolate cupcake have frosting that suppose to be chocolate, but doesn't even taste like chocolate??? The ratio of frosting to cake is also way off and the cake part was dry. It looked promising in the display case, but I'd suggest passing on these desserts.

Sugar High Bakery made my dessert table complete. the chocolate dipped strawberries were sweet and the marshmallows that they put our theme picture on it really was a special touch. Highly recommend!
I asked for very specific and unique things and everything was beyond my expectations! Exactly what I wanted and hoped for!! I will be using this bakery for everything in the future! Phenomenal job!

The only thing my mother-in-law wanted for Christmas was these dang cupcakes from SugarHigh. She drove an hour to get here. Now I understand that we arrived pretty late, it didn't help that we had trouble finding the store, but we got to the door about 5 minutes before they closed tonight (the Saturday before Christmas). The door was locked, but the lady was right inside, so my husband knocked. The lady behind the counter laughed at him. All you're selling is cupcakes, it would have taken us 5mins. No Christmas Spirit, I suppose.

Omg was going to celebrate my pups Birthday today. Spent 30.00 on a dog “bark day “ cake and it was full of mold. My poor pup ate the doggy bones on the outs.

I was in frankenmuth this past weekend and was really excited to try the cupcakes as I watched Sugar High on Food Network on the competition show. I was disappointed in the cupcakes, they were not spectacular. The cookie dough cupcake was extremely salty. Some of the cupcakes were just meh. The customer service was poor also.
Amazing job. 100 out of 100 definitely surpassed my expectations:)

I had been getting gluten free cupcakes and cake pops here. The first few visits were amazing, I hadn’t had any gluten reaction. The last 3 times I’ve been here I have gotten severely glutened. I’m not sure if recipes changed, staff changed, or processes changed. I even reached out to a manager who was very nice and tried to rectify the situation. I did try going here twice after speaking with the manager thinking the first gluten issue may have been a one time mix up.
If you don’t have an allergy to gluten this is an amazing bakery. If you have celiac it’s no longer safe to eat here. The gluten free is stored with vegan gluten cupcakes. I’m not sure if the white chocolate in the cake pops has gluten as well but most likely it had been cross contaminated with gluten. One tiny nibble of the gf cake pop had me severely ill for days. I had just gotten over a month or longer of symptoms from the first glutened gf cake pop at the time and unfortunately I won’t be able to continue going here as the symptoms aren’t worth living with.

I highly recommend this place to everyone, because the cupcakes are SO delicious, and it’s a destination stop for me whenever I make it to Frankenmuth. BUT….they need to get better staff, because some of the girls they have working there are just so rude. If I ask you a question about frosting or the punch cards and you answer with an attitude and severely jaded…it makes me not want to continue my purchase. I get it, they’re busy…but that doesn’t mean the quality of service should suffer!

I have been here once but for the last 2 years my friend goes once every fall. He always surprises me with a couple gluten free cupcakes. Hands down the best g.f. cupcake ever. The texture is so spot on. The taste is amazing, the way they look are so mouthwatering & cute. This year he picked out a gluten free Mint Chip cupcake and a pumpkin cream cupcake. Not sure of exact names because I didn't sew these on the list and this is what they were verbally called. He brought me a carrotcake flavored one last year & ,I THINK Snickerdoodle. He got himself Samoa & Tirimesu flavored. Yum!
