This place is a jewel! The view from our table couldn’t have been more beautiful.
I’ll never forget this random stop on our drive around crystal lake. What a great place. Great atmosphere, good food and fantastic service.

We loved everything about Rock’s Landing! The food, service and views were absolutely perfect.
We started with the delicious crispy brussel sprouts.
For the main course we both tried the sablefish paired with a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio It was our first time having sablefish and we both loved it.
Felix our server was on point!
What a cute little lakeside slice of heaven.

First of all, you can’t beat the location at Rocks Landing. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy, with gorgeous, up-close views of Crystal Lake (it’s so close to the water you can hear the waves crashing against the shore!) It’s the kind of place where the view usually does the heavy lifting—except here, the food absolutely holds its own. As a vegan, it can be hard to dine out in rural areas, let alone find something other than fries and a beyond burger. Plant-based options are often an afterthought, and while there is only one here, the mushroom adobo was well thought-out, flavorful, and completely exceeded my expectations. Not to mention the classically delicious rustic bread and oil I had as an appetizer. Ultimately, this is a little hidden gem with food that punches way above its weight.

Amazing fine dining with great service and stunning views! Our server Holly was supremely helpful in quickly determining what I could eat / adjust to avoid some intolerances, which was amazing. We enjoyed the fresh bread, roasted broccolini, steak frites, and chocolate peanut brownie for dessert. 10/10 all around

We made reservations 1.5 weeks in advance and got a table for 2 in an early dinner spot on the beautiful deck.

I love the new menu! Lots of choices for those who crave delicious meat, fish or vegetarian food. A spectacular setting, plus great service. Some great wine, at various but reasonable price points. Limited mixed drink options. Highly recommended!

Great restaurant right on crystal lake! Food was amazing, atmosphere was perfect; quiet and comfortable with an amazing view. Service was excellent! Food was really the highlight though. Everything was prepared perfectly and the variety of appetizers and entrees was great. We had the steak frites, lamb oso bucco and pork pasta. The poutine appetizer was the best, not that I've ever come across poutine that I didn't like but this was the best I've had. Charcuterie board was really good too!

Parking: Parking is on the street but there's plenty of street available to park on. You'll have to walk a short distance from the roadside to the restaurant but that pretty par for the course with lakeside restaurants in northern Michigan.

Kid-friendliness: We found it to be very kind friendly. The waitress mentioned a chicken tender basket for kids that is not on the menu but is available. Ours ended up getting oso bucco though and were very happy with that.

The view from the porch is so good, the food does not need to be this good - but it is. The cocktails are delicious. This place is a gem.

Rocks Landing is a really special little place out of the way on Crystal Lake. The atmosphere is so welcoming and unpretentious yet the food is elegant, elevated and totally delicious. The service was FANTASTIC from start to finish. 100% would recommend.

While on vacation in northern Michigan it was our anniversary and we looked to Rocks Landing for an upscale meal. The Rock did not disappoint. All six of us came away with a pleasant dining experience. The menu, while not extensive, offered a selection of seafood and meats and all were tasty and well prepared. The restaurant is small and situated right on the lake, so reservations are a must. Parking is minimal at the restaurant but additional parking is available nearby. We enjoyed our anniversary dining experience and would recommend Rocks Landing.

I had the Steak friets ordered medium got it Med rare. Waiter just said I will tell the cheif did not offer to fix.
Menu posts the danger of eating under cooked meat then you don't cook it.
I had to look up on Goggle what many of the dishes were. The fries are to be fries that you drag threw the meat juices on your plate. No meat juice on my plate
