Visited several times in summer 2025 and was thrilled to find at least two tasty vegan hard scoop options plus a Dole Whip each time. Friendly staff and generous portions. I really appreciated the hard scoop vegan flavors, so many places only offer Dole Whip, so this place is a real gem!
On vacation near Frankfort and tried this ice cream shop with a sidewalk window for ordering. A great selection of ice cream and dipped cones. It was consistently busy on this Saturday evening in July. The ice cream quality was good but not outstanding. Service was friendly and quick. The downside for me was that you could not see the ice cream before you ordered; the written description is just not enough to inform my decision when I want hand-dipped ice cream.
Sorry Kilwins, The Scoop is da bomb! Cute place. Streetside order window only. Friendly service. Free pup cup!!!! They have a wide variety of fancy waffle cones. Malted milshake was delish, but you have to ask for hand scooped and with vanilla ice cream. 2 tables out front and shaded benches across the street to evade afternoon sun. Shakes were about $8/ea.
