Authentic Lebanese restaurant Serving Delicious Breakfast.

I highly recommend this location over the Dearbon location.

This is operated by its owner. They Always greet you with a warm welcome unlike the other location.

I visit this restaurant at least 6 times every year from Florida.

I invite my family and friends for Sunday breakfast during each visit.

I had tried everything on the menu. I mean everything.

When you have 10 plus Lebanese relatives on your table, you gotta order all items.

Believe me, the restaurant’s name fits perfectly with its food. DELICIOUS.

My favorite is the Entire breakfast menu. I can barely say that about other places.

Their falafel is my second favorite after Rafic. It’s still very delicious.

Do Not Forget To Eat at this restaurant when you visit Michigan. You will be Amazed.

So where do I even begin?! This place is amazing. I’ve never been to the Dearborn location but come to this one with everyone I love, because nothing says I love and care for someone, then sharing my favorite breakfast with them and starting my day off with them. And every single time I’ve brought someone I loved here to show them this place, Ahmad was our waiter. And the one time he wasn’t, another waitress had us and I’m blanking on her name but she was phenomenal too. I just want to give a piece of advice to anyone who comes here and is blessed with their service, especially Ahmad’s, please ask him what he recommends especially if it’s your first time there, his recommendations never miss and they are always catered to what you like versus what he likes (which by the way, nothing on the menu is bad so it’s a win win) so to Ahmad, thank you for your kindness and may Allah continue to bless all your locations but in particular the one you manage. As a former manager, you are incredible at what you do. And in the words of Mahmoud Darwish, “كن كالشجر، يمرّ الناس عليك بالحجارة وتلقي عليهم الثمار” meaning:

“Be like the tree: people may throw stones at you, but you still drop fruit for them.”

It’s a metaphor about kindness, patience, and grace — even when others treat you harshly or unfairly, you should stay true to your good nature and respond with generosity and goodness.

God bless, your proud and forever supportive customer, Natali 🤲🏻

While most Middle Eastern restaurants place emphasis on grilled meats and cater mainly to carnivores, AlTayeb is refreshingly different by offering real Lebanese breakfast dishes that tend to be light and vegetarian. The Fool was delicious, although it could use more Cumin. The eggs, with or without Makanek, are delicious and scrambled just right. The service is friendly with reasonable prices for large portions.

AlTayeb Restaurant, is a true local treasure, offering an authentic and incredibly satisfying journey into Lebanese cuisine. This isn't just a meal; it's an experience that feels like stepping into a beloved Middle Eastern home kitchen, brimming with warmth, flavor, and generous hospitality.
Exquisite Authenticity
The food at AlTayeb is simply superb. Every dish we tried was a testament to fresh ingredients and time-honored recipes. The hummus is a revelation – perfectly creamy, with just the right balance of tahini and lemon, and incredibly fresh. Their Foul (fava beans) is legendary, deeply flavorful and comforting, especially when topped with the fresh herbs and a drizzle of olive oil. We also indulged in the Falafel, which were wonderfully crispy on the outside and tender within, without being greasy. The accompanying pickles and fresh vegetables are crisp and bright, cutting through the richness of the main dishes perfectly. For meat lovers, the chunk meat hummus is a must-try; the tender, flavorful beef melts in your mouth. You can taste the genuine care and dedication that goes into each preparation, leaving you with a profound sense of culinary satisfaction. Generous and Abundant one of the most remarkable aspects of AlTayeb is the sheer generosity of their portions. Every plate arrives laden with food, promising a hearty and fulfilling meal. We ordered a selection of their breakfast dishes, and found ourselves with more than enough to share, even for a table of hungry diners. It's clear that AlTayeb believes in abundance, ensuring you leave feeling completely satisfied and often with delicious leftovers to enjoy later. This makes it an incredible value for the quality and quantity provided.
Warm, Attentive, and Genuine
The service at AlTayeb is truly a highlight. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and a welcoming smile. The staff are incredibly attentive, anticipating needs without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offered excellent recommendations, and ensured our table was well-stocked with their fresh, house-baked pita bread. Despite the restaurant often being bustling, especially during peak hours, the service remains efficient and personalized, making you feel like a valued guest. It's the kind of service that speaks of a family-run establishment where hospitality is paramount.
In conclusion, AlTayeb Restaurant in Garden City is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic, delicious, and generously portioned Lebanese cuisine. With its exquisite flavors, abundant servings, and genuinely warm service, it's a culinary destination that truly embodies the spirit of Middle Eastern hospitality. We left feeling nourished, delighted.
